What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?
I live next to a swamp, 2 fungal spires, a triffid heart, and a city I haven’t fully mapped yet.
Staying here until they all die is my current goal, the traps, spiked pits, and strategically placed piles of wood and gasoline are absolutely necessary.
Let me correct myself, then: it’s unnecessary unless you deliberately insert yourself into situations where your base is surrounded by dynamically spawning enemies.

Yes, it’s possible to reduce or eliminate swamp monsters from a region’s spawn pool by killing sufficiently large amounts of them, same as anything else.

What’s happening in my randomly-generated apocalypse?

Good news! I found the landmines!

There was one time when I took a Motorcycle out of town. Negligible fuel, bad shape. Opted for the other lane in the highway as I’d taken the Loud! motorcycle over that one and presumed it’d still be swarming.

I hit not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 landmines in a minefield. (Did I mention this was around 1 AM, game time?)

None of them went off. Both bikes, along with the “Roller” scratch-built bicycle I’d used to find them, made it back to camp, repaired, and fully fueled. Operation successful.

Thus was the Lucky Wheeler born.

You should weld them all together to make one giant, super lucky vehicle.

Turn it into a four-leafed clover after you find one more lucky vehicle.

i went into a bee hive with a bow, 50 arrows, and martial arts, and came out with over 30 royal jellies. guess i dont have to worry about the common cold anymore. or, y’know, any other affliction in the game.

i’m playing one of the most bizarre random char i’ve ever had : a weak smart shaolin martial artist
Stats : S 5/D 10/I 11/P 8
Traits : Gourmand, High Adrenaline, Martial artist, Shaolin adept, Savant, Hoarder.
I crit for 8 damage, 10 if i am really lucky. It will be an interesting game

Just registered to post this because holy crap this game is fucking intense as shit at times.
I found a car and a masterwork with a steel jerrycan and a plastic jerrycan with a gas station(whilst being a archer-ish character)
I have survived for 2 days sleeping in cars until i drived into a town and of course, zombies everywhere.
I decided that i should plow thru and somehow managing to survive(i was furiously spamming the print screen only to forget there’s no ingame printscreen). After a while

but still, despite that crazy encounter,I managed to plow thru as I crash into a town and physics happened

oh well,have some killcount thingy

I didn’t want this…

I haven’t played in a few days and I found this a few moments into the game.

RNG is jealous of MechWarrior4 Mercs.

So, I downloaded the latest build for windows, and find that you can now take whatever martial art you’d like at Char-gen. So I start off with Centipede Style, thinking it’d be totally underwhelming and get me killed so I can move onto trying the next style.

Hahahhahahahanope.

Turns out, if you wear fitted underarmour, and manage to charge up your combo meter(as I call it), Your attacks come out at a speed of a whooping 5 movement points. Or so my non-coding knowledge would have me believe. That means you could hit a Zed around 20 times in the time it takes him to hit you once. On flat ground. That number becomes substantially higher if he’s climbing out a window. And if he does try and attack you, blocking doesn’t end your combo.

I’ve already cleared out a town with mostly my bare fists, doing nothing but punching zeds to death with my bare hands. By day two. Without so much as a scratch.

Centipede is pretty good, is what I’m saying.

Centipede has been under-rated but it’s very good for killing weak stuff and raising un-armed fast, but Viper style packs a powerful punch from the combo system and makes hulks look like regular zombie trash. out of the Venoms Toad is the least powerful from my preference Scorpion,Viper,Lizard (very CQC as you would normally use a wall when outnumbered and it applies counter attacks),Centipede,Toad (Toad style takes time to charge but if you can get it to max with enough stats and decent armor it makes hulks punches looks like a kids punch)

So i parked my flatbed truck in a garage that was near an office building. I was fixing up the car when suddenly i really needed to eat. So i killed a wofl spider and took its delicious meat to the office building. My hotplate was out of batteries , so i had an idea that if i set up a fire in the middle of the room nothing is gonna happen. While i was in the clothing shop over the street , the office building collapsed taking down the side of garage where once was my car. After 10 minutes i finished digging my metal wreckage out and saw that all the parts of the car were broken , except the engine. Then i thought to myself that with a little bit of magic (Hard and furious mechanical work) i could get the car running. So i repaired the most importnant parts of the car and it was running better than ever , because i installed a new V8 engine. Then i did a little bit of customization and i gotta say it looks …

Brilliant

Drivin’ 'round with ma top hat 'n monocle.

looks good… but the batmobile needs moar speed :l

i was completely invincible:

my powergamer char started with no extra skills so that i could put all the points into my stats. it was hard at first but soon i could even clobber brutes to death with no effort. i found a semitruck, fitted it with a citchen and another motor and reinforced it with steel plating. i looted labs and bunkers for tons of ammo and explosives. my body was packed with bionics and armor and i had a huge stash of all the drugs you can ever wish for. finally i found a laser pistol and a fusion rifle with enough ammo to desintegrate an army. then i boarded my truck and accellerated, thinking of where to try out my new toys. that was when i realized that i was driving towards a building at high speed.

i crashed into it and died, such an undignified end

Here’s the first thing that came into my mind after reading this.

that actually made centipede style look weak as it took that many punches and kicks to bring the tank down lol but then again if speed punches is your game then centipede is your style.

Official Merged Hand Held Ballista loaded with normal steel bolt  X-bow love… <3

I got Centipede from an NPC fairly late in 02Feb character development. Didn’t think it would be that great from the start; thanks for posting. I’ve updated the wiki, but feel free to add your thoughts too!

Nothing much, just exploring a Science lab, hearing strange people, moments before i was reading two weeks straight from Day 2, drinking mutagen, gained Infrared vision and Full night vision from scratch… Yeah, not much.
