What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I found a refugee center, and decided to use that as a temporary home base.

Two days later, a horde descended on it in the morning. Fighting erupted everywhere. There are probably still parts of the center that are not secure yet, but the worst of the fighting is over. I am now going through the center butchering the corpses so that we aren’t caught off guard again. I am so glad that these guys have tons of guns, as they were huge helps.

(About 15 minutes of fighting later)

I was wrong. So wrong. I am sorry everyone, but my morale has broken. The west and north west sectors fell first. I heard the north east section collapse from the opposite side of the shelter. The zombie forces have overrun my position, and I am unable to get to my stash. My only hope is to flee.

(About an hour? later)

I am safe. I think. I still see several hordes descending on the center, and I now need to avoid the remaining hordes. Without my soldering iron, I cannot repair my golf club, so my primary weapon, it seems, is my little L39. Unfortunately, it is so loud, I don’t want to use it too often >.>

There should be a happy medium, not a sword-in-an-elbow, but neither one to pick yar teeth with.
Razor Boy profession has fingertip claws CBM, I think.

Heard a rumor that slime pits burn wonderfully… Excellent! After burning a vast underground area of slime, and after clearing a few ash piles the fire left behind, I noticed that A) any items that aren’t flammable, remained intact. Glass flasks and their contents, for example. B) There are further downward slopes, leading deeper underground and C) Under the slime there is dirt soil.

I’m now considering starting the biggest underground cannabis farm you ever did see…
I’ve tried this. Felt like Adam Jensen test prototype 1 (nanomolecular blade is a tad inconvenient as it does not allow you to pick up things. So plow all enemies first, then collect rewards). But I managed to lay down 20 or 25 zeds in a row without getting hit even once.

Will play so more.
I’ve swiftly gotten used to that playstyle, it costs 200 power to draw your blades, joint ratched restores that in pretty much no time.
so at first i was leaving the looting for when i’ve accumulated them 200 power incase i’d need to draw the blades again

Later on i’ve realized that, while unable to pick up items you are still able to move them ( using the advanced inventory ) Into containers such as shopping carts. which you can happily drag beside you with your blades extended.

just to say, i’ve no idea how powerful those actually are but- The added hassle of not being able to do much with them out makes them seem even more powerful

Anyhow it looks rather sweet, and I’m wondering, how strong must an explosion be before it starts building a crater?
Nope, that tells me he likely did the same thing I did. You need the flaregun (or incendiary bullets) to ignite the external tank. Or rather, light something flammable dropped in the same space as the tank. :V
Just a full external tank, yea it’s broken, that’ll be nerfed in due course.
It actually takes very little blasting power to have a chance of taking out a section of floor, if it can take down an adjacent wall it has a decent chance of leaving a crater, which probably needs some adjustment (read LOTS of adjustment).

Broken in a very Fun way.

In the middle of beginning to record my LP. Basically wondering if this microphone is working.

Awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing it.

When the time comes to balance that out, i hope a branch of demolition oriented explosives will be introduced aswell
Ofc there’s plenty of explosives ingame already, i’m talking about explosives to be used for excavation and such
shaped charges perhaps, or even a way to set up the strength of a charge to better control the size of the blast

And will be glad to see the LP when I get the chance. o3o

Oh gods, the pressure is mounting… I need liquid courage!

But seriously, just having a few test runs in the game, just figuring out what I should say that doesn’t sound completely weird. English ain’t my first language, after all, so basically I’m trying not to unconsciously switch to Filipino or Taglish all off a sudden.

Aside from that, any advice on what recording program thingy I should use? Basically free if possible.

nothing wrong with that, english is my third language believe it or not.
hell switching to a diff language to curse or react to something could be your thing! Ya’know how entertainment works these days.

also no idea about recording programs, all i could possibly recommend is giving twitch a try first as you could save & export your broadcasts to youtube.
( possibly a partner only feature, i’m not sure about that )

Sadly I wouldn’t know what to suggest in that regard. Only that Paul’s Gaming/Piece Of Pie Software has regular trouble involving Fraps and memory (or the lack thereof). o3o

LPers who have USian accents bore me to tears. I’d much rather listen to somebody with an accent different from my own; it’s one of the main reasons why I enjoy LPers like Fengferth, Avak, and Gordon Overkill so much.

Explains why my gf stuck with me for the 5’th year now >_>

Huehuehue. Gonna see if I can get a gas tank explosion to ignite other tanks and create chain reactions.

EDIT: Hit so hard the game lags and fucks with screenshotting.

But it worked no? Chain reaction gas tanks?

Yep, royally fucked over the area I tested it in. Didn’t space them far enough though, so it ended up being a larger square of fiery death instead of what I was hoping to see. :V

Yes… I’ve gotten cars to chain explosion react by install gas tanks on the exterior walls within a few tiles.

Started with a gas tank (with gas) outside of the car that I started with a matchbox bomb.

I did have like 1/2 the town chasing me… so it was a pretty cool explosion.

I’ve yet to see this game slow down at all, so I’m wondering what type of PC’s people have where they complain about fire and explosions causing lag.
