What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I just hit a rattlesnake with my armored truck. I was doing 80mph, hit it head-on with the truck, and it survived.

I’m contemplating whether I should finish it off or not so that it doesn’t breed a new race of super rattlesnakes.

Scratch that, incendiary ammo DOES work if you remember to drop tinder under the tank.

How full was that tank?

100 bloody percent. o3o

Staying at the fish shack for a few days, coking up a huge batch of swamp bug jerky. Awoke to a giant carp trying to drag me off the side of the dock!

To whoever put that in, I say ‘well done’.

So you mean you’re snorting powdered swamp bug? o3o

It’s not a typo, I was having a coke party with giant dragonflies. Doin’ lines of chitin powder.

What a waste, you could be making chitin armor. Has Monster Hunter taught you nothing? o3o

Sounds like time for !!SCIENCE!!..
Managed to hit the screen capture button mid-blast…

Then as expected fire everywhere…

But then if I look up, that’s right up…

There’s a fireball above me too.

And if I look down, which yes you can do now if you turn debug on with ~

Fire underneath as well, seems I’m in a Wile-e-cyote situation here.

Looking further up…

Seems the fireball reaches level 8 above ground.

And looking further down…

The crater has excavated to level -8.

Enough looking around, let’s take a step…

And fall all the way down to level -8 in one turn, that would really hurt if I hadn’t turned debug invincibility on.
As it is I’m still completely engulfed in flames and my pain level is high. Also debug invincibility doesn’t protect from heat, my brain is cooking a bit.

Just waiting out the flames now…

Uh… my glasses melted or something, didn’t expect that one… Also this took a long time IRL, the game is not good at handling all this fire.

Flames finally died out for lack of fuel, let’s look around.

Flick on a flashlight since the game still thinks we’re underground instead of in a huge pit.
Nothing much to see except rubble all over.

Lets explore.

Wander over to a wall, it’s totally flat, so the new climbing code isn’t going to help. Need to make the edges more crater-y, then we could possibly get out of one of these.

And there you have it, imprisoned for all of eternity in a glass-walled prison of my own making.

Scattered around some flashlights to show the extent of the crater.

Damn that’s awesome xD

OMG THAT IS SUPER COOL!!! True SCIENCE indeed I just wonder how was your fps while this was taking part.

Oh wow. Did you mod in some stupidly huge bomb, or use an external gas tank like I did? owo

Also, I see that same oddity in that the explosion is rectangular. Weird.

It looks like a super flaregun, judging from the “you reload your flare gun” message.

Anyhow it looks rather sweet, and I’m wondering, how strong must an explosion be before it starts building a crater?

Nope, that tells me he likely did the same thing I did. You need the flaregun (or incendiary bullets) to ignite the external tank. Or rather, light something flammable dropped in the same space as the tank. :V

EDIT: Meanwhile, took shitloads of savescumming to get a basement with a sheath in it. Also? Loving the reach property this spear has.

EDIT 2: Greta? Greta! Aw fuck.

;A;

Enjoying the experimental so far. Found a new layout for the hardware store, and new areas like that are always fun to explore. The run system also managed to save my skin. Two shocker brutes zapped me and I was able to run like hell away from them.

One thing I’ve found odd about gun stores. All, or pretty much most of the ammo on the three stores I raided was all in one spot.

Whoa, blown up and down eight z-levels? Guess I’m not using that to excavate my basement… But that means with experimental Z-levels enabled I finally have a weapon to destroy all those annoying slime pits. I’ve got a couple rounds of reloaded .50 BMG API I’ve been saving for a rainy day and an M107A1 (would I still be caught in the explosion? Even at max range?) that’s been steadily gathering dust for some time. Just need to find an external fuel tank and a gas station worth of fuel to finally purge everything in fire, or die trying.

Edit: Would a tank of Napalm result in a bigger explosion?

Run to the hills, found out I left me shovel back in town.
Balls, need to stock up with molotovs and get it back, life without a fireplace is cold, EVEN in the mansion.
(Which is kinda odd, since the one place you ought to find a fireplace and a comfty chair IS the mansion. As far as the raven standing on the top of bookshelf…BURRRRRN IT!)

I get really annoyed when I leave a tool behind. I usually just spawn it if it’s literally a matter of just running back for it.
Started a game as a Bionic Assasin survivor with krav maga ( Can imagine the sacrifices i’ve had to make )
First time i’ve ever got to play with the Monomolecular blade… i’m speechless

it’s like wiping my ars with silk
I’ve tried this. Felt like Adam Jensen test prototype 1 (nanomolecular blade is a tad inconvenient as it does not allow you to pick up things. So plow all enemies first, then collect rewards). But I managed to lay down 20 or 25 zeds in a row without getting hit even once.

Will play so more.

That’s what Wolverine would choose, bionic claws are nuthin, but polished fingernails.
There should be a happy medium, not a sword-in-an-elbow, but neither one to pick yar teeth with.
