What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

The problem isn’t quite lag, but it derping up and not copying screenshots right. Normally I can get things timed just fine when screencapping stuff. >w>

Though it occasionally going into “not responding” mode for a while is also a thing.

Ah so it’s a frame timing/display issue where the game time moves faster than the display frames so you cannot really get good screens.

Nvidia’s “Shadowplay” driver for recording @ H2.64 on the fly for everything is pretty sweet. I have it setup to be recording for any game I play. Hit a button and it nabs the last 20 min. Although I did have a trim it down a bit, no need to record @ 50mbit.

That and occasionally hitting the button only to find it still has the last screenshot taken copied.

I blame this PC being from 2009. =w=

Well, Kid Globber proved, that NONE of the Martial Arts styles is worth 3 points when you can get Brawling with just two.
With unarmed 8 Brawling thrashes through pretty much EVERYTHING (barring nasty nethers and bots) with its power hit, trip and hit back.
Does not come with fancy stuff, but since zeds don’t get to hit, there’s no real reason for them.
With strength and dex 8.
Maybe Martial Arts need some love, since cutting the cost doesn’t help a bad product.
Would think, that style that takes time to learn would fare better against a self-taught streetfighter.
Heard a rumor that slime pits burn wonderfully… Excellent! After burning a vast underground area of slime, and after clearing a few ash piles the fire left behind, I noticed that A) any items that aren’t flammable, remained intact. Glass flasks and their contents, for example. B) There are further downward slopes, leading deeper underground and C) Under the slime there is dirt soil.

I’m now considering starting the biggest underground cannabis farm you ever did see…
How exactly did you burn it?
I’ve swiftly gotten used to that playstyle, it costs 200 power to draw your blades, joint ratched restores that in pretty much no time.
so at first i was leaving the looting for when i’ve accumulated them 200 power incase i’d need to draw the blades again
Aye, I do it in a similar matter. Draw the blade, run around the block slashing everything that moves, clean the area, retract the blade, collect things.

Shockers give some trouble though.

How does one get brawling? I could try something new. Wasted a lot of chars today.

You get brawling automatically at unarmed 2 or 3

Unarmed 3 automatically unlocks brawling, Which is… quite OP as far as defensive martial “arts” go
i don’t particularly like it myself, If it’s supposed to represent the be-all-end-all of martial arts ( which has been discussed a couple times )
it should be renamed to something along “survivor’s improvised martial techniques” and pushed to unarmed 7 or something along those lines >_>

i’ve since learned Niten Ichi-Ryu from a book with the same character… Enough said. It shuns Monomolecular blade with a bloody Cudgel. :stuck_out_tongue:
about twice the damage output >_> just damn.

Well. Picked summer start, barbarian.

EDIT: Giant salmon, why are you so eager to lay yourself upon my axe and become dinner?

My first ever encounter with Shia LaBeouf. Don’t mind the moose chilling in my Car.

Running has certainly made things a whole lot easier. Even at a decently high enough spawn rate, I managed to waltz in a hardware store in broad daylight, grab a bunch of stuff including a wheelbarrow, and maneuver and run away from a horde that’s chasing me with barely a scratch.

Today I found some strange rifle that nonetheless made my day. And left me without batteries too.
It required charging before shooting but boy, I wasted the whole 'hood full of undead in one casual stroll.

I also found another APC and tried driving it. Ended ploughing forest a bit. Nay, until when I find some cameras.

And answering one of my previous questions: incendiary grenades work great on slime pits.

Fire solves everything. o3o

Any source of fire works. Lighter, matches, mini-flamethrower. It takes a while for the fire to spread, but when it does, it becomes an inferno in no time, as I’m sure you noticed!

I did indeed notice. And it seems the inc. grenades reduce the time for fire to spread to just a few turns.

Going down and tossing a few grenades there too is not the smartest thing though… Of course I did that and barely got out. Thankfully there is a subway nearby; I think I’ll try to recover a jackhammer, some petrol and waste the pit for good.

Wait, you can label storage containers in cars?

Yup. You’d need a jackhammer, and a gas mask. Maybe something to tire you out so you can sleep and wait for the fire to go out.

Reminded me when I took a bite of low-grade meth to boost my Int and install some CBMs. The meth did fine, giving a nice boost, only to exhaust me completely after several in-game hours. Thank the RNG I was near the mansion that moment; found myself a comfy room, got in and slept a day and a half.

To my surprise there weren’t much zeds in that mansion.

Amendment: I’ve recalled that I didn’t even barricade the room.

Herpaderp, NPC attracted a horde, my gangsta character put the gun shop we started in to good use.

She wants me to find a corporate account. Can I get those in normal offices, or somewhere special?

I sure hope they fix the “int boosting drugs don’t help with installing CBMs” bug soon. It really stinks.

Not sure about regular offices, but probably. That or office towers.
