Making a vehicle into a boat is as simple as putting 3 boat boards on it (I use four as insurance, because if you dip below 3 it sinks and is lost forever). You can take the boards off and it’ll function as a vehicle again.
Right now I dug underground and am trying to make an underground tunnel to land; though I’m curious about what’ll happen if I dig into the water.
I think deep water is Z-1 (I could be wrong), so you might end up tunneling into deep water. Maybe. I’m not sure. I’d really have to check. If that doesn’t pan out, though, there’s always going to Z-2.
On the other hand, an underground tunnel isn’t the only way to connect to the mainland. You could build, like, an actual bridge out of wood and barrels and stuff. You’d need a lot of wood, but you could start it from the land side and then transport materials across it once you’re done.

Nope, deep water doesn’t span z-levels; if it did we’d have a lot more aquatic content.
If you can dig up and into water, I’d be interested to know about it, since I thought I specifically installed a cutout in that circumstance. (FWIW it won’t flood, since we don’t have water physics in either.)
I’m one of those weird people who actually liked water levels as a kid
More aquatic content would be neat. Something to reward the fish mutation and Cephalopod lines more in ease of access as well as budding divers. Hell. You could add in more mythos content to do with deep ones and the like. More stuff to shoot harpoons at is something I always support.
Water bases? Blah, I don’t even have a base half the time. Sleeping on the side of the road in a space blanket with your security blunderbuss by your side FTW
Um, excuse me, sir, I was responding to the posts up above the Zelda conversation. You know, the ones about Cataclysm. The topic of the thread and all. And that is not the tone you inform someone of their mistake with, thank you very much.
The off-topic discussions are tolerated, please don’t be a jerk and make me change that.
If you’re having an off-topic conversation and someone interrupts, deal with it.
Hell, I’m not even one for retorting so sarcastically most of the time anyway, kinda caught me on a bad day, but yeah, a little extra politeness when trying to correct someone would be appreciated.
XD sorry no overt rudeness intended. If anyone quit posting just cuz I like acting like a dick it would make me sad. Please feel free to insult me at your hearts to content any time the opportunity arises, or even if it doesn’t.
…thats the best you could come up with? I mean I am a rat faced, weaseling, two timing, backstabbing bastard, of unholy proportions, shunned and despised by even the lowest of scum sucking invertebrates, and THATS the best insult you got? I didn’t even sniffle.
Well, a true gentleman wouldn’t dream of hurting one’s feelings. The salmon bagel insult did make one of my friends cry though; pretty brutal round here in England.
huh. must have backstory for you brits. My family is raised to poke fun at one another. No mal intent just good poking fun at one another. I have a hard time picturing salty stone faced brits crying at being called salmon beagle…which actually sounds kinda good…
