What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

English sentiments are easily riled. Insults north of the country in Scotland are less expletives. More punctuation when used here. Tone can change the same sentence between insult and term of endearment :D.

On topic. last character died of getting a zombear in the face as soon as he left the sheltered start> Sadly had no working guns in the armoury. Such is life sometimes!

opened a military bunker, checked the rooms, saw this then opened right away.

Not listed is 3 Granades.

Waited through about a week of constant snow for my electric bus’ batteries to charge enough to keep going and when I finally went along my way, just up the road I found not one, but two electric cars with upgraded solar panels on them. My bus now charges about 40% of its batteries in a single day as opposed to 20% in a week.

Make sure to reinforce those as soon as possiblle, because solar panels break very easily.

I shall soon enough. I’m out in the middle of nowhere on my way to the nearest hospital (which isn’t even remotely close to where I was looting) without enough wire to patch them up. It’s the first thing I’ll do after I find my stethoscope.

My shelter survivor is on day 4 of 91 of winter. With a riot helmet, and various trenchcoat and leather pants, gauntlets and gloves and some scavenged combats for protection. The shelter is beginning to stock nicely. Managed to lure two ncs across a land mine for their ammo. Some 9mm and a submachine gun . Other one I killed tried to threaten me with a knifespear. Thankfully the armour held and I was victorious. Slaying zombies on the edge of town with abandon whilst looting the nearby town outer edge. If I can get a hold of some tools and books the first priority is going to be setting a generator up in this shelter. Got a 9mm smg with 3-4 clips and a half loaded m14 stashed at the bunker. But the smg never leaves my side now in case of attempted robbery by npcs or mugging attempts.

On the plus side I can tackle most normal zombies relatively easy. And marksmanship is working up nicely. Though I am trying to conserve ammo for real emergencies. The hunt continues on for more supplies and some parts for building my generator. Also He is surviving off johnnycake and clean water made in a stone pot I bashed together… Could always be worse!

Jack Rogue had something akin to an easy mode start (skill rust off and rogue-like presets) But is what I would consider my first successful character, going on my first winter day now (standard seasons) Just got first 3 CBMs installed(all bionic power storage)

he also has his first vehicle up and running (a motorcycle with basket and dome light[which he uses to read at night]) and is working on a scavenger ATV and rebuilding a destroyed APC(think I saw 2 more in nearby village so that may go better than expected) He has a good stockpile of clothing and food for the winter, but wish me luck all the same ^.^ I am hoping I can make this guy last. (2 save revives so far  shhhhh)
edit:

With your throwing skill invest in a Railgun CBM…if you luck out and find hydraulic muscles in a mine or something you’ll probably be able to obliterate chicken walkers with javelins/throwing axes…

cool! will do, thanks for the tip. Currently have about 24 throwing knives, are throwing axes/javelins better?

Heh, i like how you can hit a mosquito with a thrown hammer

As far as throwing things with the railgun CBM goes–it’s a matter of how much weight/volume you can work with. Pound for pound throwing knives are your best bet, but axes and javelins will pack more of a whallop. Also pretty sure you could just throw rail rifle ammo by hand…

I went ahead and set up my defense field/solar farm, but now I’m wondering what else to do. There’s a road nearby that leads into a large city, plenty of fish for my fish traps, but absolutely no wood.

I can either dig down and bring up some stone to build walls, or import some using my amphibious minibase.
That island is amazing!

As for throwing, I carry wooden spears, wooden javelins and thrown axes for that.

some careless activating of a mis-lettered chunk of C-4 reveals that so long as your heavy power armor is active you can withstand detonating a missile from within the silo itself…

So far, Katherin Burdette has enough food & water to last for a while, has a base in a Public works about 5 minutes from a nice sized town, and has more than enough food, water, and books to last through the rest of spring. I’m also thinking about going into town and making ALOT of noise, just to spawn some more Zs. :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S.: I would add a picture with her character sheet, but i don’t know how to insert said picture.

If you have Paint, use the ‘PrtScn’ key when you have her sheet up, then use CTRL + V/Paste to get your sheet on Paint. Crop the image to your liking, save the image, then upload it to imgur.

with mac command+shift+4=select area to screenshot. Think there is command for it on windows too.

Somehow, this scrub has survived, with 91-day seasons, to day 56. Managed to get good CBM’s, get 2 good mutations (i think) without even realizing it, Almost 100% make my Peace Van (which starts a a Hippie Van) and go on a massive road trip which used up all my gas twice on my 2 tanked van.
(Character Stats) ((Excuse me if the spoiler doesn’t work. I’m bad with the interwebs.))

wow nice death-mobile

wow Codeslamer, nice car, what is in the front? looks like some rotating blades like you’d find on a harvester, or snowblower, or something? I don’t recognize the tile.

Now someone needss to make a death-mobile that looks liek a skull, or a scyth
