Caffiene pills are fantastic especially as you can find packs of 20 quite easily. Taking around four of them (which is the max for the buff I believe) raises all stats but strength by a significant amount, probably averaging a +4 bonus for each stat. It also raises intelligence dramatically more which makes it useful when reading complex books.

Also I love how you can find electric forges in jewellery shops now. SO GOOOOOD!

You can also find them in the back of gun shops (as well as literally every other tool in the game).

Talking about drug, I regret taking low-grade amphetamine earlier in the game, now the withdrawal is killing me!

If I make my character go for the drugs - I make enough of them so he will never suffer from withdrawal.
10 time units zweihander swings are awesome.

I never use “Hardcore” drugs too, aside from pain killers I use only sleeping tablets to get my character to sleep in the morning and lurk in the night for supplies.

Ill take just about any drug I can find, but generally I use them tactically. Time to run away? Coke + adderall, cbm install? All the uppers plox, morale is tanked and I have stuff to do? Heroin will fix that. Want some faster skill gains as I wander about town? Xanax FTW. I found a joint? Better celebrate by smoking a joint. Trick is to spread your drug use over many different drugs so you dont have to worry about addictions. I only use adrenalin and meth as panic buttons because the comedown is so harsh and I try to avoid pink pills because I find the hallucinations annoying.

Joints are fine along with cigarettes. Taking them is no big deal unless you overdose and it gives you a nice bonus. E cigs are pretty sweet as well. None of these are hardcore drugs though, but I might just get super high with a shit character and see what happens.

Hey guys, Turns out the siege was…

Very, Very, hardcore.

The landmines went off, attracting two Jabberwocks towards my house, and I got a Fuel Truck which I stole from a parking lot. I put it in max gear, and put a mininuke right next to the gas tank, and I bailed before It went off.

You hear a large explosion to the west x20
You are deafened! x50

OH DEAR GOD I WAS TOO CLOSE
You are in pain!
Pain meter: 600.
You are on fire!

Somehow, with only TEN HEALTH POINTS ON MY TORSO AND HEAD I manged to stop being on fire.

But, I didn’t have any medical supplies and I was forced to do a last stand.

Here’s what went down after this.

Zombie hoard crosses river on fire, takes about 200 losses.

Sniper Rifle Fire from 50 cal takes out about 64 (Thank god for 135 range!)

Landmines take out 16 Zombies

Jabberwocks are destroyed from the explosion.

Hoard gets assistance from another nearby hoard, increasing their numbers by 230.

I start drinking Vodka and get addicted.

I shoot my SKS and kill about 132 zombies before they get too close.

I run into my base, and pick up my M249 with about 1000 bullets.

Becomes WW1 all over again.

I kill 536 zombies with M249 before running out of bullets.

There are only 385 zombies left.

Grabs Glock 19

Kills 32 zombies, runs out of ammo.

Has shitty unarmed and Melee skill.

Start throwing stuff

Also forgot he has shitty throwing skill, and just realized “Oh Crap, I actually have a pretty good dodge and melee skill…”

Grabs Rapier and Rising Sun

Kills 82 zombies before encountering a Hulk.

Rapier breaks while fighting said Hulk.

Rising Sun One Hit Kills Hulk.

Hoard is down to 82 zombies now, even though there should be a lot more.

Gets bit by a zombie.

OH CRAP TORSO HEALTH IS DOWN TO 4

Kills the rest, but torso health is down to 3.

Uses all the First Aid

Yay, I no lo-

Fuck.

INFECTION AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Runs to nearby town on foot to get some disinfectant.

Realizes that there’s no pharmacy.

Get drunk and smoke hemp.

Somehow manage to get the infection to stop.

Realizes he has parasites because he ate raw meat.

Face palm.

re: horde numbers: I’ll have to check, but there was a change a while back where in static spawn, tough zombies count as multiple zombies when spawning. that might have been applied to dynamic spawn (hordes) as well.
In other words, each hulk that spawned reduces the spawn pool by 50.
