I used a nuke to create a land bridge across a river so I could ride my bike through it.
I mutated horns soon after.

End of week 1, holed up in a farm to stock up on antioxidants. Decide that I’ll read a bit at the window, putting up with dogs interrupting me every so often. Second day of this the zolves start and breaking the windows so that they can get the old “Murphy Brown”. Windows get boarded up and I start reading in the doorway. Second night the zombies start breaking down the boarded windows. Kill 'em, board up the windows again, go back to sleep. Third day, the horde arrives and pours in. Get surrounded but they’re only regular Z, fatties, kids. Knock 'em over pretty easy. Toughs arrive, no problem. A Brute shows up and I take my hands off the keyboard, sip some water, figure it’s been a good run and start bashing. Brute goes down. I finally have to leave the farm bedroom because a smoker arrives. Take a minute to solder my raincoat back up to full (only damaged clothing) in the front room. Head out to break the horde’s line and head for an evac. shelter. Run into spitters, toughs, a shocker, assorted lesser Z. Stand and fight for a bit, only getting my first / wounds on torso and an arm, then I notice that my socks are getting damaged from the acid. I don’t know where I’m going to find my next pair of socks. Time to get out of here.[/quote]
live in a farm is not easy i too have problems with zombie animals and 1 time i got atacked by horde (47 zombies in debug) so i wasted all my ammo
character died some time later because cauterizing was fail and no antibiotics on desert
Continuing an imported game with my alter ego, started somewhere soon after 0.A. Killing Zeds and making tainted tornados to get more mutations. Might take on a megastore soon.

Sad is happening. I cannot find fungaloids to butcher to make plant mutagen. Time to explore more I guess.
Coming up on 1000 kills. Still haven’t picked up a ranged weapon, let alone used one.
Lolnoob
(This is my trademark thing of saying, don’t think much of it)
I’ve managed to find a handy artifact with my new guy that protects against mental attacks. I’ve also managed to make a gas station into my home base and have procured 2 shopping carts and a big rig. I’m basically scouting the surrounding area and finding stuff to bring back to my ever growing hoard, although I’m planning on renovating the gas station and making a sort of fortress/outpost. I’ve also managed to clear a small town directly to the south (only 4-5 buildings) and I’m confident that I’ll be able to clear the larger next to it.
Also, the Rivtech shotguns are seriously the best things ever. One shot up close can obliterate most anything, even pesky zombears. It also has ammo for every situation, so I don’t even need to keep a grenade launcher or LAW in my truck for emergencies because I’ve got 40-ish rounds of explosive shells. Even the flare rounds are handy for creating a wall of fire to put between you and the zombies.
Oh, and I’ve found some chitin armor lying outside a house full of spiders. Is that normal?
We have those? Either of them, mental attacks or an artifact that protects against it.
TIL…

You didn’t know Kevin D:
I think mental attacks is
When Amigara Horrors and Flesh Angels and the like stop you because you’re too horrified engrossed in their everlasting splendor.
It’s so… Beautiful.

I’ve been hunting through labs for a minireactor unsuccessfully, so I went and upgraded my roadrunner with some of the stuff I picked up.
I think dual fusion cannons on an 8-tile “starfighter” electric bike was a bit of a miscalculation…
Also, I’ve been disassembling every lab computer/teleport trap I’ve come across in labs and turning them into Power CBMs, I’ve got like 1200 bionic power already.

You can also loot bank vaults for advanced technology, if you aren’t having any luck with labs.
Won’t trying to disable teleporter traps teleport you?
And teleport you into walls?
Man, the alpha mutation path is wayyyy more work than I had anticipated. But I finally got all my skills where they should be, got the recepies memorized. So now it’s a matter of raiding the lab for the various ingredients (making them from scratch is going to be a pain in the butt!)
I found some fungaloids. I need some bird eggs now. The quest for alpha mutagen continues!

Well… No.
Its that trap thing, you CAN disarm them its just exceptionally hard (even for traps these ones are hard). Needs alot of perception and dex. Intelligence probably doesnt hurt aswell.
(Kaufman version, tested by a SuperSpiderSyborg, AKA me)
Oh. Yay! Those delicious P cells will be mine.

In latest experimental, if you fail to disarm a trap, it’s theoretically possible to succeed. If it’s impossible to successfully “disarm” (there may be alternate approaches, as with pits) a trap, it’ll say as much and stop you.
The city I’m in is 90% looted, so time to pack the most pertinent stuff into my solar car and drive away into the sunset.
Still haven’t found any labs or mutagen and only one CBM. Nor can I find any books on trapping or electronics that I could read.
