not a whole lot worth reporting to be honest, the gunsword continues to be enough to kill just about everything i come across that isn’t from a mod, fungal monsters are continuing to spawn in worlds with the “no fungus” mod (maybe just how it works when you use PK’s rebalancing? seems to add variants for quite a lot of mundane monsters so possible) for whatever reason, bit of housework, bit of seeing if i care at the moment.

i finally gave into the ways of world-scumming and switched from delete world on death to keep, not entirely sure why, my swath of devastation tends to be quite great and leave most of my gear totally annihilated anyway, actually the shelter was completely flattened by the time i moved out of it last, i will admit playing this way i get to repair more cars and appreciate my work later.

Well, TBF. That IS what she signed up for originally, she volunteer for CBM (and unknowingly mutation) experiments and it has been her goal to follow through on it.

Edit: Besides, I lean more towards an Alita look then a Darth Vader look.

so my character had a good few days, i apparently saved last when i was in the lower portion of a lab with a somewhat extensive CBM vault or two, never saw LED tattoo cbm before, seems neat, like a built in atomic lamp.

looted a bit from the other lab nearby as well, turned up a crapload of high end books and 12 serums mostly targeted, not sure i really want to go too far on spider or insect, but i stopped at a toxic waste dump and rubbed the geiger counter on the floor before finding a nice medium supply of rads that wouldn’t kill me outright, but would make intentional sleeping for long nearly impossible for days to come afterwards and had a nice long nap for as long as i could be bothered to repeatedly order myself to sleep. (you wake up very frequently when radiated now apparently, oh well)

that kick started the mutations, i had a fair amount of purifier and a blank slate for mutations to work with as i start cbms instead of going with experiment, suddenly i notice i have sweet tooth and one other insect mutation which after some work i managed to turn out like this:

overall didn’t really get much done and i can’t remember if i purged the world i was playing before that somehow let fungus get out of control already, but i did lay the foundations for later, vines is kinda… meh, i know one of the ways it can wind up isn’t exactly good, but it could be worse and maybe i’ll purify some more later anyway.

i just looked and i managed to get to 24 strength already and i don’t think i used the cbm for it yet either, not bad, i should be nearly 40 with bionics soon i think.

With the land in the tight grip of winter and with the snow piling high above, Holly had all but completely withdrawn into her cosy underground home. She’d never been a fan of the cold and after putting in the work to build up her supplies, Holly was more then glad to avoid it. There was still plently to do however, despite the lack of human contact, Holly had yet to give up on there being other survivors and had taken it upon herself to expand her available quarters. If she did find any companions she wanted to be prepared, no point suffering cabin fever if it could be avoided after all.

exploring a third lab i found nearby currently, apparently there’s a doom-lab when you play with PK’s and holy crap these monsters don’t mess around.

i’m giving up on PK’s i think, i’ve been having to resort to alt + f4 when i die to finish exploring that doom lab way too consistently, imps are barely even damageable in melee at all and always seem to headshot you for at least 60 HP, not fun, that’s not even good !FUN!, it’s just forcing save scumming.

well, i’m going to have to give up on the doom lab, even my OPenis 20 base stats and lots of other cheats character can’t beat two hell knights at once, i’ve tried one room at least 20 times now, hell i even gave myself landmines to place at door chokepoints which worked well, but then i made a mistake.

nowhere near dying if i leave the lab and stay away from places that spawn doom mobs, also gotta drop that doohickey off at the sewage pond i think so it can do it’s thing away from me.

the solar car i’ve salvaged into a vehicle ought to be fully charged again by a ways too, out of food so return to base after drop off and then go look for an actual city i think, either that or read, hermit up and work on the car for a few weeks, not sure yet.

i just remembered i spotted a semi i can salvage into something more murder-worthy too when i played earlier.

She’d had a bad feeling before she’d even left home but Holly had convinced herself that a quick trip to bag some triffid parts for experimentation couldn’t turn out that bad. A one day round trip, locate a straggler or two and bring the remains home.
The cold made her shiver and the various cuts and rents in her gear didn’t help but she decided against activating her internal heating systems, she wasn’t out of the woods yet and the amount of bionic power she’d burnt through holding back the massed plant life had been shocking. After months of fighting the dead and all the changes she’d made to her body, Holly had held little fear for battle. She was the cumulation of some of the greatest technology and science humanity had to offer, a weapon that only other human creations could challenge let alone rival. Or so you had thought. She would return home for now, she would think and plan. This wasn’t over.
At least Triffids made for good eating.

Well, that got nasty quick. My gear got trashed pretty bad and I burnt through well over 7k power between nanos and shockwaves just to stop myself getting surrounded and torn to pieces. I don’t think it was even that big of a group, it’s hard to tell with the queens about obscuring line of sight. On the plus side I shouldn’t run out of vegetable matter anytime soon regardless of how much mutagen or soup I end up cooking up.

you have mininukes, just set one and run away is what i do when i find triffids typically, sometimes takes more than one though.

I needed then relatively intact because I wanted the veggie matter, I wasn’t intending to take on a whole mob so I didn’t have a mini nuke with me. By the time I would of been considering using one I was already getting mobbed by vine beasts and para’d by which ever ones para you (fungal fighters I think?) and going back to my vehicle to get one wasn’t possible. By the time It was, well, I had already chopped them into salad.
I feel another session with the ol’ mutagen bottle coming on and needed some ingredients and they do honestly make for good eating, I like using them for the veggie component for wood soup, saves me spending time foraging.

What’s the tree that increases attributes and things like looks and reflexes?

Alpha is probably what you’re looking at. It’s essentially “Human, but better”

Elf-A also increases your stats and you can pick up the Glorious trait from, it’s an upgrade of Beautiful. Just make sure you have some purifier ready before you go down either Alpha or Elf-A as there are some really nasty negatives you can pick up.
