What's happening in YOUR randomly generated apocalypse? Part 2!

Sort of ironic a treeman ending up in a lumber mill

That’s actually how my grandpa died.

Except replace “treeman” with “bartender” and “lumber mill” with “Alley in Saint Thomas” and it’s pretty much exactly the same.

Found an Lome shelter in the middle of a field. Set myself up all nice and safe, got some water and was able to clean it. I then went to explore this large field around the Lome shelter since I had already felt like I was in the middle of no where. Found out about, 7 spots away on the map there’s a massive bee hive and I nearly died to a bunch of bees.

But, hey I got a nice shelter so that’s something at least.

He had finally found that place. A few structures next to a bridge with a forest nearby. And all of it on the route between the refugee center and their outpost.

FINALLY!!! 6 or 7 labs in and I’ve finally found all the tools to make mutagen, serums and alchemy potions. I know they spawn at research labs but I’ve drove for days without finding one and you’d think a lab would be packed with this kind of crap. Time to go full Elf!

I’m trying to build my first transport today. I have no real understanding of the things required to make one but, it’s desperately needed, my largest issue is the distance from the Lome shelter I have and the nearby city.

I set fire to a school yesterday, raided a gun and sporting goods store and found a set of 20-liter tanks to use for holding water. My character now survives on water, alcohol, and cigarettes to sustain themselves.

Here’s hoping that she stays alive long enough to make a decent car or something. the Lome shelter is far enough out that it’s not that dangerous in the area around the shelter but, that makes getting any new supplies needed much harder.

Ideally you want to keep it compact, one of my personal favourite vehicles is a humvee chopped down to be 4 or 5 blocks wide.

Arshes examined the ring carefully, she could feel powerful magical energy radiating off it. She’d discovered it in an underground area that, despite it’s strangeness, she’d come to recognise as a mine. The ring had been guarded by a shapeshifter of some type, similar but not quite the same as the one’s she’d encounted in her own world. Some quick spellwork later, the shapeshifter was dead and the ring was in her possession.

She prepared herself mentally, focusing on her defences and slipped on the ring…

A ring of invisiblity, joy of joys!

Edit 1:
And now another Thing bites the dust and I got a staff that dims the sky and drops a 3x3 blob of acid in return for some pain :open_mouth:

Returned home with a new artifact to test out. Walls are meaningless to my sight now.

What a coincidence :stuck_out_tongue:

Guess I won’t be needing those nightvision googles anymore.

Where do you guys keep finding these artifacts? All I ever find are itchy beads, glowing rods, and crackling stones. And other such mostly useless garbage.

Mine came from mines, 2 Things and 2 Amigara faults.

Edit:
TBF, I’ve had my share of junk on other playthroughs, I just don’t tend to mention them here cos they aren’t that interesting.

Mines as well here. Seems that natural artifacts found above ground are a tad more rare now. If you have some acid protection, a flashlight, a shield if you have a mod that adds them, some gas protection, a crowbar, leather level gear, and a spear, then mines can be easy pickings for decent artifacts if you can find them.

You can also pre-emptively get into temples by digging next to their entrances if you don’t have a strange eye. I tried this once because I couldn’t for the life of me find a mine that had a strange eye. Bring fire protection and a light source. Temple artifacts can be the jackpot of the century but they carry an equal risk of having something that kills you on the spot if you’re unprepared.

Arshes felt the ground quake, the tunnel had seemed stable enough when she’d set off. Thoughtfully she pulled on the mask of true sight she’d discovered and her eyes bulged slightly as she saw a wyrm tunnelling towards her…

I didn’t know they could do this, saves me some trouble of making a tunnel for a detour.
I also like how there have been some sort of rail vehicle added.

The artifacts that spawn on the surface are of a lesser type than the ones you can get from mines and temples.

what mods are you using ? is it possible you share your modded game ? I like playing with mods but i never can get it working.

Most of these I got from the Launcher, others I got from Nexus Mods. I’m not sure which is from which but, that is list of my current main world.

now im interested with the “sex test”. pls elaborate survivor.

Well that definitely came from the Nexus. I think it adds a bunch more sex objects and weaponry but, I’m not one hundred percent sure.
