I think my NPC friend Sebastian is a superhero.

He was almost dead when he agreed to travel with me. Down to light or dark red everywhere. Bandages didn’t seem to help, and he kept ticking down, hour by hour. I thought he was going to die overnight. I stayed with him and eventually fell asleep, expecting him to be crippled or dead by morning. But… in the morning he had started to recover! Now, a few days later he’s back at/near full.

If it’s from a mod I honestly have no idea which, I play with quite a few active but I can give you a list if you want? It might just be rare, this is literally the first time I’ve ever found one.

I encountered an “Incandescent Husk” near a hospital. The zombies have a habit of crowding together around things that make noise - magnified by Wander Spawns being enabled for this world.

The Husk, with its ambient field of electricity, took out about a hundred Zs for me while I sat back at a safe distance and ate chocolate covered pretzels.

(Maybe he should be programmed to want to move away from allies?)

Sebastian’s compulsion to punch zombies proved to be his undoing as he decided to run up and punch a pack of Spitter Zombies even though I was screaming at him to run away. So much for his Prime Intelligence.

Playing with wander spawns for the first time. I started as a punk rock dude in a public holdout and it was a mess. Fled immediately from the outside horde, too many special zombies to loot any houses so I fled along a trail to the evac shelter to try to get some standard start items- tough break there’s a migo right outside. Found a cave and subsisted in the woods for a day, and then got the luckiest break- an LMOE shelter right next to a 4 building town. All the in town zombies were piled up on a single wrecked bus. Looting in town I got an even luckier break- a fully stocked gun nut basement with more 9mm and shotgun shell than I’ll ever need AND a folding bike. After hunting dog meat to sate my hunger, I brought the pain- completely eliminated the small horde and cleared the town. Scavenging food is tough though, I’m far from most of the towns and the nearest ones been completely taken over by triffids. There’s another small village connected by wilderness trails, going to get together a shelter kit and build a looting base at the end to make supply runs back to my LMOE shelter.

Pine nuts are an easy way to keep yourself calorically-supplied until you get a line on better food sources.

It’s the additional vehicle mod thingymabob, pretty cool, I think it lets you make diamond plates, plus some more emplacements (like atgm?)

My quintessential survivor, Punk Rockington, a punk rock dude, mounted a vehicle forge rig and vehicle welding rig onto a wheel-less e-bike frame, added solar panels and a car battery, and named it Nidavellir since it will be his legendary forge. He’s now sawing apart an entire APC and reassembling the heavy duty frames into something more…deadly.

This is my first attempt at creating a custom vehicle within a legitimate game (I’ve tinkered with building freely in a separate file) instead of just refitting a regular vehicle, which I have also only done once.

I’ve gotten a little too cozy in my LMOE shelter- obviously sated on water, and there’s an anthill in close proximity so I have a TON of meat available. But life in a stone hole is tough and I want to keep moving south. I sourced a working car, and I have a spot picked out to set up in next- a fully operational luxury RV parked near some public washrooms and a trailhead, missing wheels. Seems like a good base to loot the nearby town for tools to replace the tires. I have run into a few bugs I haven’t seen before- at my LMOE shelter, zombies don’t follow me downstairs- instead they seem to teleport into the rear of the shelter if they’re pursuing me. Additionally, cooked chunk of meat seems to have suddenly disappeared from my crafting menu despite having all the requisite materials on hand.

As habit and a bit of paranoia I like to avoid traveling far in the middle of the night. The one time you have a laser pointing at your head from within the dark sort of kills your adventurous side before the grenade to the head finishes everything else. So the character goes to sleep in an abandoned car in a regional dump. I expected some trouble due to the hulk that was removed just before, but I assumed the large amount of insects would deal with it. So the character of course awakes to a hulk’s fist, but that was not the interesting part. It went down in two hits. The real horror was the dozen hulk… corpses strewn among the dump and in a smashed truck. I’m not sure if it is a set piece but I know another thing that won’t be done at night.
