This is my playlist for Western-y things including but not limited to lonely space games or wandering the apocalypse.[/quote]

Nice mix mate.

If I do play with music it’s usually random game music list time.

Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of anime, japanese, and country music…

Am I becoming an Otaku?

When I see a sexy NPC

Creature Feature- Aim for the head. Great band with great songs, most of their songs are a “little” morbid.
I imagine the RNG listens to a gorey demise while thinking how he is going to kill us.

I listen to bass-heavy post-glam speed polka.

A little bit of everything really, cassical, metal, jpop, folk, chiptunes, kpop, techno. I used to say “everything but rap and country”, but then I’ve actually found some of each that’s listenable, so…

Can i get a example? I really want to look this up.

This playlist, on shuffle, was specifically designed for playing Cataclysm to. My SO with impeccable music taste put it together.

Lots of Yume Nikki music, some Half Life 2 music, Silent Hill 2, Fallout 3 stuff, and then a bunch of random pieces.

Sounds interesting. Where can I find some?

Speaking of (“medieval”) martial, March of Cambreadth.

“How many of them can we make die?”

And I suddenly realize that Raubtier would be excellent for this, but sadly for you guys, they “sing” in Swedish.

Apokalyps, Armageddon and Götterdämmerung don’t need much of a translation I guess, but you also have titles such as Det finns bara krig (There is only war), Kamphund (Fighting dog), Dieseldöden (Diesel death), En starkare art (A stronger species), Praedator, Mordbrandsrök (Smoke of arson), En hjältes väg (Path of a hero) and finally, Låt napalmen regna (Let the napalm rain).

All of them very (post)apocalyptic or interpretable as such, and often with a lone warrior against a harsh world. You have to be in the right frame of mind to not laugh at most of the texts, but if you are, they are excellent. It also helps that they sing/growl in a Swedish dialect from the far north, renowned for being inhabited by self-reliant “real men”. Think Alaska. (In Norrland even the women are real men.)
