Using vehicle storage

How do i get stuff into my shopping basket?

The wiki says:

I don’t understand what this is actually saying (only drop unknown items into trolly???)

I tried:
grabbed the trolly
go to inventory
select item
drop
but it drops on floor

so i’m assuming you don’t drop items form your inventory - but i can’t see how you drop items on the floor or in storage into the trolly either

i then tried weilding an item and press D but that didn;t work either

am obviously missing something

advice appreciated

Press Drop
Press in the direction of the storage
Select the items you want
Done!

Examine the storage to get stuff back.

one final question - what am i actually dropping i.e. what am i selection from?

stuff in my inventory?
stuff i’m stood next to?
stuff i am holding?

Once you select the direction you want to drop stuff, it should open your inventory screen and let you select what you want.

can only drop in stuff from inventory - so have to pick up stuff from ground first

If you need to store something with too much volume (eg. A frame) remember stuff in your hands isn’t limited by volume.

So you can Take off your equipped weapon and then grab the big object you want to store.

shame you can’t deposit stuff from your trolly directly onto the ground though rather than having to cycle through your inventory

The person above is correct. use advanced inventory command /
then press the direction your cart is in the go to the other screen and press “I” to look at your own inventory anh hit “m” to move it to the shopping cart. Took me a while to find that out myself
