Or when it spawns in your canola and has just enough time to think “oh no, not again” before your scare-turret opens up, shredding the locust & your crops.
Which is exactly what happened in the OP picture (it was taken later after I had cleaned up the corpse and it had rained).
I was going to use laser turrets myself as I’m pretty sure they don’t damage crops

Don’t hold your breath it’s going to be awhile for me to even attempt farming.
This is why I have an armed NPC with a PAR full of pebbles to keep an eye on the bugs.
