Trait Balancing Discussion

It seems that traits are wildly unbalanced, and many can’t help but take the same old traits to minmax.

From points adjustments to tweaks to a complete rework, what would you change to specific traits to balance them?

Changing point costs, making them cost more wouldn’t solve anything related to minmaxers, it would just leave some of the “weaker” traits be even less useful

ps. has anyone ever attempted to use the Asthmatic trait… giving it one of the few fatal traits… yet it only +4…

I did one rebalance so far (since 0.C stable).
Left some of the traits only partially balanced (went conservative with balancing), others totally unbalanced (because they need a total rework and point costs won’t help here).

Traits that can’t be balanced with points alone are:

[ul][li]Liar/Pretty/Ugly - NPC interactions are very world setting dependent. Should probably be disabled for NPC-less worlds[/li]
[li]Inconspicuous - Should be dummied out for now, it does (almost) nothing[/li]
[li]Good memory/Forgettable - Depend on skill rust setting. Likewise should depend on rust settings, but can’t, because those aren’t tied to worlds[/li][/ul]

For others, suggestions are welcome.

Trait being fatal when ignored isn’t enough of a reason to bump it to +5 or anything above that. It simply means you need to collect inhalers.
It should probably lose that sleep interrupt thing, though. It’s annoying and doesn’t really serve a purpose.
