Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!
Newb questions here;

How do I set up a funnel on to my vehicles external tank to collect rain water? Is it even possible?

If you use a Steel Boom to lift a vehicle, it can lift up to 20 metric tonnes. (40,000 lb’s) but does that mean using two Steel Boom’s can lift up to 40 metric tonnes? Does it stack?
You can add a funnel to a vehicle the same way you would add another frame or so to it. You have to install the Funnel on top of your vehicle tank though, or it won’t fill up that tank.
That being said, if you want access to the water, you probably want a kitchen unit or a faucet as well - or even better, have another tank and use the vehicles power supply to clean the water before drinking it.

Steel Booms and other lifting tools do not stack, last I heard.

I don’t believe you actually can mount a funnel onto an external tank… Pretty sure it’s 60L’s and under only.

Well unless it is a mod you can make a wooden barrel which holds 100Ls which can be used inside a vehichle. All of my vehichles tanks are currently said barrels.

Have a few questions:

 • I just found and removed a minireactor in a Atomic Car, installed it to my workshop where I make my crafts, but I can’t use it as a battery and forgot the exact function of it, (I think it was recharging batteries) what does the minireactor do?
 • 50 science cards and just one lab found… Damn, do the size of cities option in worldgen affect the spawn chance of science labs and perhaps military facilities? Have to expand my list of mutagen flavors.
 • I found some rechargeable batteries and a heavy duty battery but I have no clue at how to use them.
 • Installing an atomic lamp in a vehicle doesn’t seem to emit light, how do I turn on the lamp?

 4. mini reactor is a vehichle part that recharges vehicle batteries. It would need to be installed in the vehicle to do this, and you would need controls to turn it on and off like an engine if I am not mistaken (not sure havn’t gotten that far myself)

 5. Yes. Labs spawn requirement is to be within a min/max range of a town. I think there might be a city min city size requirement as well? So having the city spacing set too low will prevent them from having any viable spawn locations.

3)Um… I think you use them as part of a crafting recipes? Think you need the recipe unlocked first? You may want to dismantle a few for future crafting if you have enough to spare. I know rechargeable flashlight is a thing, and I think energy weapons and such can be modified to be rechargeable.

Have you checked the items menu?

wow I need to play more… just as soon as I finish customizing my computer… is never heard from again

 1. You fill the reactor with plutonium cells then turn it on and it charges the vehichle batteries at a rapid rate (remember to turn it off when the batteries are or almost full.
 2. IDK
 3. Those are for a mod called bright nights which are essentially rechargeable “magazines” for a craftable laser rifle called the shoddy laser rifle with the heavy duty essentially being the extended mag variant.
 4. It should essentially always be on however if not check the vehichle controls or the tile it’s installed on. Personally I would always keep it on me as it’s essentially an infinite light source that can be used anywhere, anytime allows you to read and craft.

So I found one of those Leukocyte CBMs. If I’m understanding it correctly, it helps with the hidden health stat when you use it? Also it will heal you by 2 ticks when needed? You can’t ever turn it off though? What happens if I run out of power? Or am I not understanding it correctly?

What’s your folks impressions about it, worth it or no? Not sure I like the idea of being addicted or whatever, but I do have 2700 power, and another 1000+ I’m about to install. So it might be worth I dunno.

Yes, it will increase the hidden health stat consistently as long as it is powered, I’m not sure what happens when it’s turned off (I didn’t notice anything dramatic when I did, maybe it drops your health a bunch?)

If it is worth it, I would say yes, if you got an easy way to recharge bionic power anyway.

I don’t think it heals your hitpoints though.

Cool thanks, I have metabolic, internal furnace, battery systems, ethanol burner, solar panels, and joint torsion, so you’d think I would be good on power lol, but I still run low when running my dialelectric at night and rainy days, but it has saved me a number of times from those pesky shockers hidden around corners lol.

Well I installed it, the leukocyte, along with leg alloy, enhanced hearing (have poor hearing trait, selected at chargen!) , and Internal UPS CBM. I have the teleportation CBM, which I guess could be used in a jam, but I did not install it. I have probability travel from an earlier cbm installation session, can you get sick from using probability travel, as I believe you can from the teleportation cbm, and is it the same sickness you’d get from using the teleporting devices you would find in labs?

Oh and a side note, can I find da hoe hoez? https://imgur.com/xA8O6Bu

In regards to the leukocyte CBM, it works by constantly setting your current health stat to a high value (100) while giving you a large negative penalty to the direction that the health stat is moving (in this case -50 health_mod). The result is that your health stat is constantly trying to drop but is constantly being reset to the higher value. If you ever turn it off then it will no longer be being reset upwards, so you should drop pretty drastically shortly afterwards.

Is it OK to still take a vitamin and calcium every 14 hours, or does it not matter anymore. I don’t eat junk food since I am intolerant to it.

Bears and “Mooses” yield raw pelts, what kind of animals give raw hides? I have skinned wolves and bit smaller animals (raccons, coyotes) but I only get meat and bones, what level of survival should I hit to get hides?

You can turn pelts into hide (its a recipe) giant snakes, and humans give hide (among many other things that don’t have fur coats, but those two are rather common) I don’t know about survival requirements, but a good knife is a must.

Raw hides for leather. Think about it what animals are typically processed for leather. Yes said animals are a bit rare but you get the idea. Anyways I would have thought that you needed hide for leather in which case you could turn a cured pelt into cured hide but considering I am playing pks rebalancing I imagine you need it for beast mutagen.

Or a turned on circular saw. Why that should work so well I have no idea.

Because, in order to tan a pelt, you need to cut as much meat/fat from the leather as you can. Usually you do that with a knife of some description, but a circular saw would also be able to get rid of the meat on the pelt.

I believe animals with fur give pelts, and animals with no fur give hides. As mentioned, you can craft hides from pelts.

I thought I was playing Factorio for a second here https://imgur.com/a/U0GtK XD

What would you do if you had 500 plus empty cash cards.

Arrow crafting, thats prety much it I think.
