I found a stethoscope in a hospital, then I just found one about a year later in a veterinary clinic, on my current run. I was looking for one for quite a while as not many Doctor Offices spawned near me, or in any of the towns close by.
Returned in game after break.
With recent changes in inability of crafting with filthy material is basically crafting more advanced clothing which include leather etc basically disabled till player found enoguh soap and water? Or can filty leather patches, plastic chunks etc can be cleaned more easily?
Also i presume one should not cut clothes to not have to wash every rag/patch seperately…
Yes.
I personally think that we need more places to spawn soap or increase the current soap spawn rate.
No.
As above, is easier to clean the clothes and then cut them up.
I’ve started finding detergent in houses now too, as opposed to just soap. I thought the detergent was new, but not sure. I did see them talking about maybe batch washing or something on one of the patch notes github page, but I’m not really sure if anything was decided or not.
Is anyone else having problems getting a npc to pickup items listed to them? I put it in their global and character slots but they still won’t pick up their wooden crossbow bolts. He seems to have space because I didn’t have any problems manually handing it to him.
On the Allow invalid overmap setting, does choosing Any also allow invalid maps or just unlimited?
What’s a good way to train marksmanship above level 3?
I managed to get it to exactly 3 using a book, but from there on I can’t seem to get it any higher. Whenever I use my AR-15, I get the message that I need to ‘aim at more distant targets’. That’s fine and dandy, only that I can’t hit anything further than 7-8 tiles, which doesn’t seem to be enough to affect my marksmanship.
Could I try to train it using a slingshot or some other weapon?
You could, but you would still have the same problem, just cheaper. i usually level it in one of two ways, Find an accurate rifle and mod it to be even more accurate and aim precisely, 2. find a pretty ok automatic weapon be it smg or machine gun, find a lot of ammo for it, mod it to be low recoil, fire rapidly at something far away, by the lead wall principle i should ba able to level up by sheer volume alone. Also a longbow should work pretty well.
So, I came back after a short break. Been playing Ex. 6404 before I left and I downloaded Ex. 6508 a few days back.
The problem is, there is no characters on the main menu screen or in-game. I can still select stuff but since there’s no text playing is out of the question. Any idea what might’ve caused this? This same thing happens on Ex. 6513 too. I do admit, my PC is quite ancient but it could play this game relatively well until I downloaded those Experimentals. Didn’t want to make a topic in Garage for this so anybody has any clue why this happened?
Are you using the launcher? Maybe try a re-install.
Did you ever change the font, and maybe the ttf file isn’t there?
I use the launcher and a reinstall usually fixes anything for me, but I haven’t had too many problems.
i had that problem too, deleting everything and downloading the new version manually fixed it.
I usually hope for a good NPC to train from.
rifles are your best bet for marksmanship since it wants long range attacks, and regular rifles (not HMGs) are the most accurate at long range.
Is there a way to build a house without nails? By house I mean one with a proper door, at least.
Stone walls for walls, need 24 rocks total. No nails needed. For the roof the log and sod roof, which uses logs and two by fours, unlike the normal wooden roof which uses two by fours and nails.
That said, you still need a tool with hammering and digging to construct those.
However, for doors you’ll need a few nails. The makeshift door doesn’t need nails, but it does need an empty door frame… which does use nails.
I suppose you can make a one-tile vehicle and create a door there.
'course, there’s also metal doors. Doesn’t require nails. Spikes from scrap metal. Only difficult thing to find are steel platings or sheet metals.

I tried manually installing before, no luck. I used the launcher just now, same deal.
I saw plenty of .tff files inside the game directory so that shouldn’t be it either. I never changed the font.
I’m gonna check if updating my java helps.
EDIT: Did not help. I’m stuck with this.
By any chance, is the game on a hidden folder/invisible folder?
It’s a normal folder.
I’ve noticed this only affects the graphical builds. Ex. 6518 Curses works just fine.
Modders can add paper or plastic bags as ‘casings’ for paper flintlock cartridges.
Does anybody knows any alternative finds to find meat besides hunting?
