No, it’s melee or zap.
Currently there is no code for on-hit effects for weapons.

Yeah, it was easy to take down with a gas mask on, however ot did hurt my arms quite a bit from zapping.

They got moved to Craftable Gun mod.

EDIT: To be clear, the Rivtech weapons are still in core. The recipes were moved.

A good start would be getting a frame, or a heavy duty frame, and continue working from there. Together with a welder, welding goggles, some mechanics skill, an engine, even more frames, some wheels, some steerable wheels. You will find it out.

It’s always better to use an existing vehicle and modify it for your needs, at best an APC or an RV.

Making a vehicle is much more time consuming than modifying one. I’m not joking, you can spend days maybe even weeks just making a single vehicle of a moderate size. It’s best to find a existing military vehicle and just repair it and soup it up with additions of your own.

Like others have said, you need a frame and then hit the Construction menu (’*’ by default) and select Start New Vehicle. You will be prompted to select a frame and the new vehicle will consist of that frame, sitting on the tile you selected.

'E’xamine the new vehicle, and you can start adding components and frames to it.

A small vehicle, like a three tile folding motor/bicycle* can be built in half a day or so. Larger vehicles can take a lot longer.

Two bicycle wheels, two saddles, three light folding frames, a folding shopping cart basket, controls, and either a foot crank or a motorcycle battery, 1 liter engine, and a 2L gasoline tank. I like this design better than the prebuilt folding bicycle because it has space for an NPC ally and more storage capacity. It’s a good starter project.

You boil water near a loaded charcoal smoker, and some charcoal disappears from the device. That’s how it works.

I used to think FEMA camp is a type of labor prison holding XYY chromozom miners. There are only scientists, soldiers, and walled in brute, actually.

Smoked meat is made from the crafting menu. You need three chunks of meat, and a charcoal smoker with 15 units of charcoal per stack of 3 chunks of meat. You also need something with food cooking, but I can’t remember what rank. You also need cooking skill (rank 3, I believe) and the recipe to do it, but the recipe might be autolearned.
