How do I deal with corrosive zombies? Other regular zombies (soldiers, tough zombies, etc…) can barely hurt me, even if I’m in severe pain and surrounded, but the corrosives really mess me up.
For corrosives in general you want acid resistance obviously. I believe you need like 15 environmental resistance and 10 acid res ( don’t quote me on those numbers ) on your legs and feet for immunity for standing in acid puddles.
They can still barf acid on your body which will still cause damage.
If you can, try making the wetsuit survivor gear, I believe? If you can’t, try things like rubber shoes and maybe fire-resistant socks ( they give env protection too ).
EDIT: Also, try killing them from a range before they get a chance to spew their acid. That will really help.
EDIT2: Alternatively, use them to kill off other zombies as they melt in acid pretty quickly.

As far as I understand you, you want to speed up vehicle construction? I don’t know if that is possible in game, ( this setting you mentioned I believe only works for construction window ) but modifying the .json files is probably the only thing you could do.
To be honest though, the speeds aren’t that bad now. Although if you are building a ‘car’ that uses almost 300 heavy duty frames things really do slow down.
Yes, i want it - more speed repair, install and build. I fond json files from data/json/vehicleparts/. But i dont understand what me need change.
Sorry my language, i try dont using google translater.
Is steel drum installation obsolete now? If you install it or just hold onto it, it gives you 200L of storage regardless. But if you install it, that’s it. Can’t put anything else on that space or even walk through it. But if you keep it in a cargo space, you can walk over it and you still have 50 more liters of space. Am I missing something here?
Tanks (60L) have a purpose: you can still install cargo space over them. The only other advantage I see of installing a 200L drum is that it is directly connected to the engine and faucets, but that’s a small advantage since the 60L cans take care of fuel usage just fine.
I suppose the best use for 200 L drums is after you obtain the cargo dimension as it’s perfect for huge objects like this. Other than that, stick with 60 L ones.
I actually thought about incorporating 20 of those huge drums inside my death fortress in-the-making, but the fact that:
- I would use up 20 spaces for drums only
- I would have to surround them with boards for even more space wastage
- I have a feeling that one day SOMETHING would finally hit those gasoline drums despite two layers of wall and military armor.
That’s why I decided against it. I will have roughly 250 interior tiles anyways, so there’s plenty of space for tanks in there.
After installing the folding stock onto a gun, it seems to permanently stay in the unfolded state. How do I fold and unfold it?
How to open a Safe in a Doctor’s Office?
How to create from nothing a vehicle?
How to learn new swords techniques like Rapid Strike?
What is the use of an Atomic Nightlight?
i’m not sure about this, but according to the wiki, it folds itself when you arent using it and unfolds itself when you wield it, automatically
all it does is reduce weapon volume when not wielded but increases the time to wield it from your back pack and such
How to open a Safe in a Doctor’s Office?
A stethoscope is guaranteed to open the safe with all its content intact. You can use a sledgehammer, and with enough STR the thing might just open but break things inside. I believe explosives are also an option, but you can already guess how risky that method is.
How to create from nothing a vehicle?
Obtain or craft a frame of sorts (easiest to craft is light wooden frame, easiest to find is steel frame). Go to your construction menu (*) and find the ‘Start vehicle construction’ option. Press enter, then choose a direction in which the very first part in your vehicle will be placed. After you’re done, the construction menu will no longer be of use. (e)xamine your new vehicle, then use the vehicle menu interface to r(e)name it, (i)nstall new parts,(r)emove them and more.
An atomic nightlight is a lantern that never runs out of power. You (a)ctivate it to take its cover off so it gives off light, then (a)ctivate again if you want to put the cover back on it and “turn it off”. Unlike other lanterns that consume batteries or lamp oil, these don’t require anything to power them and will keep on running indefinitely. Great for crafting and reading at night.
Still new to the whole vehicle buisness and since wiki is unavailable i guess i’ll ask here.
I’ve managed to salvage and repair an APC restoring it to somewhat working condition. Now my questions are:
-
It appears to have a painfully low safe and optimal speed, around 39 km/h, how would i go with increasing the speed even a tiny bit, preferably with stuff accessible to an early game character.
-
I’ve managed to find a mobile chemistry set, still, i appear to be unable to install it on any of the slots available in the APC. I assume it needs to be installed on a specific slot, which one would that be?
onboard chemistry labs need to be installed directly on a frame; try removing a seat and installing the lab in it’s place.

Install a better engine. I believe the V12 is the fastest but consumes a lot of fuel per tick too. Alternatively, remove things off the APC, like its trunks, or replace them with lighter variants so the vehicle weights less and needs less power to get going. Also make sure its parts are in good condition, specifically its wheels and engine.
Ah yes this explains the painfully low speed! I completely forgot to check the state at which the tires are, and they appear to be pretty busted. Gotta get to fixing that.
Are morale boosting traits worth taking anymore? Getting your skills past 10 the old fashioned way is nearly impossible for anything that isn’t called Throwing nowadays, and having NPCs teach you the ways of the warrior is much more efficient than cutting up 1000 zombies with your weapon of choice.
Passing the Chimera threshold and following the mutation path up to Apex Predator lets your combat skills level up ridiculously fast.
Are bayonets working right? I’ve tried attaching both a makeshift bayonet and sword bayonet to my heavy rail rifle, and they don’t seem to make a difference.
The cutting stat doesn’t appear for some reason. Both bayonets are supposed to give your rail rifle a cutting damage stat and a reach attack which can be selected by switching to bayonet firemode using shift+f.
Are atomic nightlight exuding radiation?
