I can get bank and doctors office consoles hacked with decent (but not 100%) reliability at about computers 3-4.
Yeah, Computers skill. And it depends on the console. The mine elevator consoles are super easy to hack but many of the lab consoles practically require like skill 6 or more to hack consistently. You could still get lucky with less of course. Not all consoles are equal, and not all functions (that the console is able to perform) are equal. Failure to hack has several harmless, mild or (in a few cases) a bit dangerous consequences.

The best consoles for training are the ones in the large glass rooms in labs - they never drop secubots and never shut down from failed attempts. They can electrocute you, which can be bad, and they can also drop manhacks, which is great for farming robot drops.
How do you make turrets on vehicles auto fire on enemies?
The turret controls are combined with the vehicle controls.

No one fixed it since the last turret overhaul?
How do you build a floor, I don’t see anything but carpet floors in construction menu
How do you build a floor, I don’t see anything but carpet floors in construction menu
Build a ceiling. Floors come automatically. Also, if you destroy a floor the ceiling will fall.
I’ve downloaded the last experimental and I can’t find where to change the size of the screen. It used to be in Settings>Options but I can’t find it there anymore. ¿Any tips?
Yeah, that’s one part of the z-level stuff that never got properly changed over - it’s going to have to be addressed sometime, but it’s pretty far down the list in terms of importance (at least, I would think so).
Settings>Options>Graphics>Terminal Width Terminal Height
Thks for the quick answer, but in Graphics I have only 5 options:
Animations - Rain animation - SCT animation - Animation delay - Force redraw
Btw, I’m running a Mac, for what is worth.

You can either change terminal width and height manually (which used to be the only option a bit of a while ago), or you can toggle Fullscreen and Windowed borderless modes via more settings down at the bottom. Both of these match your resolution, as far as I’m concerned. Otherwise, if you leave the option off, changing the width/height to 135x66 will give you an equivalent of the 1920x1080 resolution (“1080p”).
Does a list of numbers appear at the left edge of the Graphics screen?
(While you’re waiting, you might be able to set the screen size by copying an older config/options.json file into your Cataclysm/config folder.)

Hedrigall is experiencing a bug from the looks of it.
Here is my graphic’s screen.
Here is my graphic’s screen.
Are you sure you’re using a graphical build and not a console one? Grab the latest graphical from here (Linux builds), just to be sure.
I’ve dowloaded the next OSX/Tiles version (0.C-6045) and it’s all ok now. Maybe I did a mistake and downloaded the previous one from the Console, not Tiles.
Thank you for your help!
I’m playing console and I still have the terminal settings, so this is a bug. Glad to see it’s fixed.
I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this, so I suppose this is best place to post.
Water cannons from fire trucks are an early game way to get mounted turrets with infinite ammo. Apply a gunsmithing kit to them to give them +2 damage before you mount them. A couple water cannons on automatic fire, automatic targetting will easily kill zombears at the measly price of over half a 60L tank of water. It… might take them awhile to actually kill a zombear, but they stunlock anyway so it’ll happen eventually!
Even if they didn’t do damage, a vehicle that stunlocks zeds is incredibly useful. Plus the turret fire will alert you to nearby threats you can’t see.
I’m not sure if water cannons dealing damage is intended behavior or not, but I personally can’t imagine high powered water hoses NOT doing at least a little damage. Fire engine hoses are calibrated to fight distant / multistory fires, not nonlethal crowd control, after all.
Hey that’s nice, this water cannon thing!
I acquired an Humvee with a mounted HMG. How do I set auto-fire & auto-target with it?
As for my question regarding the floor, I’m settled in a former bandits cabin in the wood, and a few tiles have only a cave floor, not a ‘floor’. How do I improve the cave floor to floor, which would be prettier?
