Is the armor screen not working as in previous experimentals? I can’t now add even a shirt to a friendly NPC which has spare volume and weight capacity. I can select the shirt in my inventory, but then the NPC says he can’t wear that?
EDIT: the NPC is controled by me but is with trust : don’t care about me. I guess that’s the issue! How do I raise his trust, he has no mission to propose. Time will do?
How do you add armors or clothes to friendly NPC now?
Also, is this a known issue that stripping a NPC of all his/her clothes is a dead end? Has he has now 0/0 capacity, he won’t accept anything, even a pouch, so you are stuck. I had to revert to a previous save.
Yeah, I’m not sure how to give NPCs new clothes and have them wear them if they’ve hit their limit of carrying capacity.
I want to increase my newfound buddy’s capacity, but they won’t take anything that would increase it because they can’t hold it. And it seems like taking items from them might prove a dead end if they won’t accept any returns.
PS: Yeah, I just took the girl’s crossbow and bolts, and now she somehow can’t accept them back due to lack of volume capacity. Definitely borked.

Everything related to NPC’s and factions is currently borked. Best just to come back in a year for more stable content. Unless you like playing solo, as there’s still a lot in Cat a to see.
No, I can’t say they are completely broken. Just a bit buggy and rough around the edges. They sometime help greatly but you have to nurture them. And they are stupid like a concrete block.
Not entirely broken, but they’re severely diminished if their inventory management is non-functional. There seems to be no return from the inexorable decay of their clothing and general gear.
And how else would you nurture an NPC if you can’t maintain nor improve their equipment?
Factions are broken, but NPCs are usable already. Crude and suicidally courageous, but they work well with spears.
Another year? NPCs were broken a year ago, as far as I know.
Shouldn’t fixing broken features take priority over the constant addition of detail and new ones?
Fixing NPCs is mostly adding features. Most of the time they aren’t broken because of a bug (though recently it was - or is - the case), but because they never had sensible AI implemented, making them suicidal and dumb. For example, they are “broken” because they charge at hulks and then require explicit “stop attacking anything” order to disengage.
I’m trying to nudge the development in the direction of getting that stable version out, but I don’t have enough time to do it all by myself and it doesn’t look like I’m good enough at diplomacy to get enough people to help.

Last time I took a group of NPC’s on a lab raid one of them kept walking through dissectors. Sometimes the same dissector repeatedly. What I’m saying is that might be a little insulting to concrete blocks, I think most of them would have enough sense not to do that.
Are there any craftable varieties of Prussian Blue or Potassium Iodide? Radiation is a constant threat in PK’s mod these days, and I’m having trouble finding the standard lootables…
Both can be crafted with high cooking (6 for potassium iodide, 7 for prussian blue) and 1 first aid skill. You’ll also need to find one of the higher-end chemistry books. Fortunately both of them use pretty common materials, the most difficult ingredient is probably quicklime for prussian blue.

Debug man. All about them debugs.
I eventually forcefully equipped a backpack and a greatcoat on my buddy NPC, through debug commands. Found said items in a clothing store, so not really cheating.
Shortly afterwards, she wouldn’t let go of a shock brute and died. Goddamn it.
