My NPC follower got annihilated in a fight. By which I mean all of her limbs are now crippled… Do NPCs need splints or is there something else I could do? I put a splint on one of her arms and it’s been 3 days now and she shows no signs of progress. By which I mean I made her wear a splint like any normal piece of clothing. Can’t use bandages or fa-kits on the crippled limbs.
Any other ideas?
that’s just it , give them splints , make sure they put them on , and just leave them somewhere safe and MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that no damage is done to the limb or the timer is reset
broken limbs need about 14 days to heal , with fast healer trait its about 10
Hardware stores and Final Stand basements tend to have them pretty frequently. Nothings guaranteed anywhere, but there’s usually a final stand basement every four or five houses, so a mid sized town is gonna give you a good number of chances.

I don’t think I have ever seen them in a hardware store. It seems like all of the places that they should spawn, I can never recall if I have ever seen them there.
Personally, what I find so appealing about them is that they are a require tool to craft caltrops. A healthy scattering of caltrops will enable a survivor to achieve a wholesale slaughter of a bunch of zeds without being touched once.
How can I get the inventory menu to go fullscreen again? The windowed version is as slow as cancer and the description of the new system on github isn’t very helpful.

I found them in some basements, but no place has been particularly reliable.
Not sure if reliable but a search within the game files suggests they can be found in home-improvement stores and malls…
Check if you can craft them. You can craft most tools anyway. That’s the most reliable way, IMO.
I got a lab finale that was just a huge empty room with a broken console in the center and a single Science ID card sitting in front of it.
Is this supposed to happen? It was pretty disappointing and the wiki doesn’t mention anything like it as a possible finale.
Hmm, haven’t heard of (or found) anything quite like that… but I did hear plans of making a finale that always had a science ID (as a way of getting out). If it had 4 pillars or something in a square nearby, that could be a Sub-prime Contact console (and something broke it before you got there?). Those are pretty annoyingly useless.
If it had a bunch of broken electronics nearby, that may be a thoroughly broken CVD machine.

Speaking of final stand basements, is it intentional that the sealed crates are always 100% of the time empty? Sealed crates I encounter in other locations sometimes have things inside them, but never in a basement.
I’ve always imagined them being there strictly as extra barricading. I find it a little more annoying that every single such basement is basically identical. Where did all these people acquire M240’s anyways? They also seem a little OP in there implementation as well, since they are so prevalent and also guaranteed to contain guns and ammo, food and various other useful supplies, not to mention they are a ready-made base complete with fireplace and beds.
Tell her she can use guns but only silent weapons. I think that’s what I had to do to get it to work.
This worked, thank you much mlangsdorf. She is awesome now, killed a brute all by herself before it could even close the gap!

In the mid/end-game, I do end up crafting them, but they really shine in the early game, which is when I was hoping to acquire them. It seems that the integrated tool set functions for that now (THANK YOU!) and I have just found me one of them.
Are you still playing marloss man reborn.
I am incapable of starting new characters.
The reason I have so many fusion cell is the same reason I have two fusion blasters. One of my old Solar Rollers had fusion blaster turrets, but I never used them because I am a cheapskate. There were no hordes back then, meaning my car didn’t need to be able to defend itself.
I am fireproof and I will probably use this for shooting triffids. My A7 is my day-to-day gun, the fusion blaster will be my Fuck Shit Up gun. I shouldn’t need it very often.
