Unload the diesel containers next to the vehicle.
Before I post a bug report, how do I work an NX-17 charge rifle? Either I’m stupid or they’re broken.
It a charge rifle, meaning it sucks up power from a UPS then it will be able to fire
Just press F once to charge, and after a few turns press F again for a supercharged shot. Or just hit F twice in quick succession.
EDIT:
It’ll supercharge in 8 ticks, so if you leave it up for 9 it’ll discharge in a random direction. So be careful.

Why won’t my NPC companion use the bow and arrows I gave her? She has level 6 archer skill, wearing a quiver with 20 metal arrows, and she has even loaded the bow. But all she seems to want to do is just melee with the bow. WTF?
Try taking the arrows out of the quiver. If that doesn’t work idk.
I think it’s bricked.

Most other beam weapons are still working.
If you literally want to blow shit up, use the plasma rifle or fusion blaster.
Those are kinda like weak kamehameha wave launchers except they light fire as well. so you can blowup zombie orphans, and roast marshmellows on them. and then you can fire your lazor.
Tell her she can use guns but only silent weapons. I think that’s what I had to do to get it to work.
Thanks for the advice! I always left blaziers behind as an useless items, never saw them useful.
Sadly, right now i lack the necessary skills, but i will try it.
i find braziers are an early item for cooking inside.
They are also great as fire breaks - put a square of them around your loot pile, and you don’t have to worry about it burning up, you know… just in case.
My NPC follower got annihilated in a fight. By which I mean all of her limbs are now crippled… Do NPCs need splints or is there something else I could do? I put a splint on one of her arms and it’s been 3 days now and she shows no signs of progress. By which I mean I made her wear a splint like any normal piece of clothing. Can’t use bandages or fa-kits on the crippled limbs.
Any other ideas?
Splints take a lot of time to work. The broken system wasn’t updated for a loooong time and is pretty horrible.
Lame NPCs are pretty useless, except as craft assist.
If you don’t care about “cheating” you can get around the horrible splint times by using debug menu to set hp of each limb to 1.
