Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!
Can I specify fields in my json mapgens?

i.e. can I plaint blood splotches or slime or, wel, any number of things onto my json doodads?
Mapgen.md states it can be done, though I’ve nevever seen it in action. I guess you could try with:

"set" : [ { "point": "field", "id": "fd_blood", "intensity": 2, "x:" 5, "y": 10 } ],
Why does it take me 610 movepoints to put 1 battery into a gun?

gdi
Because it’s not a breech-loaded duracell cannon?

lol.

Well at least let me load up 2400 batteries at once instead of having to select them.

Are there any future changes that will be made to the morale system? Just curious, specifically regarding crafting recipes or things of that nature, things you would feel pride after finishing. Like after crafting ornate plate armor or finishing a collection of items, maybe a book collection or something like that. I feel like if I were in this situation, I would have to give myself small goals that I would feel happy after accomplishing just to keep from going crazy. Maybe THIS is a crazy thought, and would be impossible to implement. But just wondering!

is it possible to define a wandering npc class?

ive tried, but i cant get it to reliably spawn, much less spawn in a map json

If I can how can i repair a faulty engine? All I can do right now if find a not faulty engine and drag it to the not stranded car. I am not even bothering with the car parts like the drive belt and what not as I have no idea how to use them.
Nevermind figured it out. but what if its an engine I cannot lift?

SOL.

Jk. There’s prolly a way.

Mount it and then repair it

The issue is its faulty I have to be able to hold it to access the item menu to use the mend action.

rest up and pop caffeine pills

?
Also I find it dumb that the message for using heavy weapons is you have to be standing near appropriate terrain but in reality its standing on it. I’m more perturbed at the fact that you cant use it when you are next to the things rather than the information error.

your complaint is being unable to hold the engine block in your hands, yes?

so you can apply the fix?

caffeine pills boost all attribuites by 1 per pill. including str. so pop 4 or 5 and grab the block

How does the “automatic zombie advancement” setting work? Does it change zombie speed? Or am I being a dolt

oh neat. would they be sterfeine or caffoids?

From what I understand, right now, no, there isn’t. I’m sure it’s on the to do list, though.

While its usually wasteful to use ranged weapons at their max range, shotguns loaded with 00 shot lose negligible performance at max range if you have high skills 7+ and take carefully aimed shots!

Yay for ranged weapons that are actually ranged!

There is, as I said: install it and then mend it

so shotgun= best balistic sniping weapon! \o/

shotguns are good no matter what your skill.

at low skill they offer high damage and wide shot and beanbag.
at high skill they offer good crits and effectiveness.

i mostly don’t use shotguns, since i waste all their ammo on crafting high explosives.
but when i do use them - they are anti-jabberwock weapons.
