I feel a bit foolish asking this, but what exactly does a forge rig do? I assumed it acted like an acetylene torch and could repair/weld things onto vehicles, but so far it has not prompted me to select “forge rig” as a choice for a tool. (It has power and is welded onto my vehicle)

welding rig is a mountable welder’s torch
forge rig is a mountable elctric forge. make yourself some steel weapons, hammers, helmets, etc

By welder’s torch do you mean “soldering iron?” Because that is one of the components used in a vehicle welding rig.

A welding rig needs 3 makeshift welders to craft and is for WELDING STUFF.

A forge rig is for MELTING METAL AND BLACKSMITHING.

A few hours ago i crafted an electric forge and put it inside a UPS-charging station, the car battery has 2% charge and the electric forge has no batteries or UPS mod.

Then i crafted a charcoal forge and constructed it and filled it with 1000/1000 charcoal and crafted a crucible and anvil…and i seem to have not used any charcoal and the electric forge has no charge anyway and the charging station is off.

Not the first time i’ve had infinite charcoal bugs where i can just craft whatever without reloading charcoal.

PS : i haven’t found a damn chemistry set in ages across multiple characters, is there an equivalent item to make chem lvl2 items?

No, but chemistry sets aren’t exactly hard to craft.

If you demand scavenging one, they tend to show up pretty frequently in schools and mounted on mobile meth labs. That’s usually how I get mine.

Who here knew that the Hydraulic Muscles CBM lets you throw grenades farther than a chicken walker’s vision range? Because that was a fun discovery.

but even if you abused granades and used hydraulic cbm so you have 100+ str you cant throw some thing far (like sevage covers)

It depends on the “recover_x” flag on ammo.

And guns, by extension, since a gun can support a flag it applies to all ammo.

RECOVER_[X] Has a (X-1/X) chance to create a single charge of the used ammo at the point of impact.

I found one in a abandoned storefront. Probably the best place to find one. I’ve yet to craft one, only characters I’ve had that would have gladly done so, didn’t have the recipe.
