best armor are probably power armors but if not looking for them…
survivor wetsuit is good combined with plate for all around protection and pretty decent storage.heavy survivor suit is good for physical but low storage and enviromental protection.
heavy survivor helmet best helmet combined with several layers of hoods and cowboy hat/tricorne on top for badass effect.
in my games rubber boots on feet are replaced late with fireboots at end as main danger to legs is acid.i dont seee any utility in other boots as my legs only gets damaged when i get inf fight involving corrosives and spitters while other zombies are blocking my movement to evade acid pools.
leather/bone arm guards can be nice for blocking effect despite their encumbrance.
iron greaves are good for leg protectition becuse of large coverage and pretty low encumbrance.though even starting 2x4 shin guards are pretty good thing.
Concerning leg protection how really are boots important in battle.whats chance of zombie hitting character in feet area?i know dogs do but they are not dangerous.does having encumbering heavy survivor boots really have practical value as they are bash and cut resistant but their enviormental protection is nothing special?
but how much are these attack frequent?i played this game a lot and i havent seen need for heavy protection of feet from physical attacks.I go with rubber boots i never seemed to have any problem with leg health and only was hurt by acid again because my leg area unlike feet dosnt have much enviromental protection and both feet and leg protection are needed for acid pools.
heavy survivor boots supposed apex in protection with high crafting requirments have bash 36 cut 45 acid 3 enviromental protection 5.
rubber boots which are easily found have bash 9 cut 9 acid 9 enviropmental protection 12.
for immunity of legs to acid according to wiki http://www.wiki.cataclysmdda.com/index.php?title=Clothing
you must have at least acid protection 5 and enviromental protection 15 on both feet and legs .With rubber boots its easy to do with fireproof socks but not for heavy survivor boots which even with two flame resistant socks have 9 enviromental protection of supposedly neeeded 15.
Concerning weakness in gettting acid protection for heavy survivor boots my question would be for what situation are they made for.Only thing i can think of is perhaps is surviving explosions?or i am missing some enemy that targets feet more often and such high protection would come in handy?

As I read everyone’s posts about how they max out at 30 encumbrance, I can only think about my character who wears a SWAT uniform, a survivor rucksack, and back scabbard and ends up at almost 60 encumbrance :P. Somehow, I can still fight everything normally, and rarely get hit, unless its one of those annoying feral predators (I hate them) who puncture my armor with ease.
Nothing is wrong with high encumbrance if you can handle it.
I usually stay under 40 until I get some decent melee skill and armor though.
And encumbered legs and feet really take a toll on yur speed. Not by slowing you down, but by making every step take, gosh, Ive had times where almost 40 movement points are tacked on to my speed of 100.
I’ve found that when you have encumbrance (or a low enough skill level) that makes it hard for you to hit fast things like those feral predators, a good way to counter it is to carry around some throwing weapons and train up the throwing skill. Hard to miss when they rush up right next to you too.
I got my hands on a cleansuit, is that sufficient enough when paired with a gasmask to resist ambient fungal infection? Or am I going to need a pair of rubber boots and gloves to go with that?

I don’t believe so, no (at least not currently).
Do you install mods by going into the file for your world save, and then type in the mod name into a notepad labeled “mods”? I did that for a medieval mod and it worked once, but now it gives a bunch of error messages and missing definitions for random items (steel bottle, 120mm tank shell) when I try to install, say the anti-revivification mod.
how do you enter a Necropolis vault? I spend a few days wandering around in the sewers before I found the entrance (took ages) and now I can’t find a way in. The doors are sealed, the elevators are broken, and all the computer are broken? Am I missing something?
Edit: never mind, I found the entrance it was the only door I didn’t try.

Either dig or go into the sewers and explore. A downward staircase is somewhere. A jackhammer might assist you.
