How can one know if a minifridge works or not? Can one put his hand into it and then knows if it is cold enough? Or as long as there’s power in battery it is working?

[wooden frame]
-solar panel-
-car battery-
-minifridge (vol: 91/300)-

E…F 13% - batteries

All parts are dark green except that the solar panel is light green.

Try putting only one bottle of a drink, soda or something inside. After at most a minute it should have the (cold) attribute.
Also about fridges, why doesn’t everything inside become cold?

Thanks. I put a cola into the fridge, and it didn’t turn cold. I have repaired the solar panel, and will see if it helps.

edit: I should have installed a control and turned on the fridge. xD

Is it just me or does fire only seem to last a few seconds now? I remember fire lasting longer in the older experimental builds. I am playing on 0.C-12453-g45df892.

You need to turn it on via the vehicle controls. The best way to tell if it’s on is to go to the controls and look at the prompt; if it says to turn it on, it’s off. If it’s to turn it off, it’s on. Some things will become cold but others never will, even though they are. Mostly drinks get cold. Try putting a soda in it.

It needs fuel to last now. Once fuel is exhausted, it quickly dies.

Do any of the effect modifiers accept negative values in such a way as to actually decrese the values they modify?

For instance, does setting fatigue_amount to -50 take away 50 fatigue or does it merely provide a buffer for the lose of fatigue?

I’ve had a cold for about five days now, i’ve stayed resting and fed as healthy as I can but its not going away, advice?

I have lots of food and meds and a blood filter if that helps

Wait it out.

They should.

Does dying in your world, then making a new character affect what type of enemies there are? My first character survived till’ the middle of summer and now, my next character is barely surviving his first days due to all those firefighters, smokers, brutes, grapplers, survivor-zombies and other crap that’s walking around…(though he DID find some pretty sweet loot too - a silver athame and fire axe on the third day is pretty sweet)
I am using PK’s rebalancing so it probably affects this too but i don’t know to what extent.

Its likely the same. Fortunately for you, maybe, is that the zombies dont cap out until over a year after spawning.

Though, Im under the impression that anything already present will stay, but new spawns will be relative to that characters survival time.

Though if youve ever started a new world in summer or fall youd see that evolution continues. so a winter start would see winter zombies, as it were.

I have a ‘tonic’ of healing.

I have set it up so that using it once will ‘unseal’ it, and when it ages to a point you may drink/activate it.
I also want to set it to rot once unsealed, so that not using it will rot it.

Can I give it different properties as a rotten item than as a properly used one?
Effects, mostly.

Is there an easier way to feed and water my minions… Survivors.

kill triffids and funguses for theirmeatbits and fluid sacs.
water put into and siphoned from a water tank wont cause food poisoning no matter the source

Idk if health matters. if it does gummy vitaims provide 1 whole nutrient so maybe its food theyll eat?

I meant less click intensive than currently feeding them each bite and each sip.

you must love them.

i thought they could be traded food/drink to hold onto?

Ah yea… I just had to have them hold it… D’oh.

I do love em. I am considering making a mansion and near by 4 house hamlet into a castle and village. The little buggers get cool armor and decent weapons so we can mutilate zambies together.

I have 5 of em so far,

Why do I want to spend 1 second turning 7 gin into 7 ‘strong mixed drink’?

I just discovered that you can change z-levels on the map using the < and > keys.
