I see my strategy of “getting 1 military id and using a jackhammer to open all the doors” still works.
I’m set up on an island in the middle of a river, sleeping in a camping tent jam-packed with all my supplies.
I have an atomic coffee maker, so I should be good on clean water for the next hundred thousand years or so, but I’m not sure what to do next.

Start building a farm?
Maybe build a powerboat if you have the boat mod enabled?
Drunken Master or Substance Tolerance. Those likely aren’t available from mutagen though. ;w;[/quote]
You can very much mutate substance tolerance though it has no category rat, trog, raptor and chimera all have a mutation (or 2 in chimera’s case) that have substance tolerance as a pre-req so can mutate into it.
Too cold to farm.
I found a shimmering portal after I killed a couple floating eyes and a kreck that were chilling out around it.
Should I go in?
absolutely nothing happens
D: i suddenly have hooves and now my legs are getting frostbitten!
is this a temporary thing from messing with those floating eyes or do I need to find some purifier?
Aaand I just vomited some gray goop and died.
-_-
never mind.
Are there different “got comfortable” modifiers? Mine is usually maxed out at +3, but that’s probably because I’m Bad Tempered.
Well, this is a “newb” question thread for a reason - new players usually don’t know what to choose or which mods to use right away, and rightfully so; I, as a new player, expect “necessary” additions to either be already implemented inside the vanilla game or stay in the on-by-default mod list when generating a new world. I will most likely want to experience the game the way it was originally meant to be played, keeping the difficulty and the settings as they are at first and not enabling any mods just to see what the game’s like with any modifications.
Can’t fit that small basket inside the 650 volume car trunk? That sucks, but that’s how the devs wanted things to work so that’s how I’m gonna play, at least at first.
I can respect “we don’t want to do X but you can make it into a mod” statements, but as it stands the save I’m using right now is my first serious attempt and I insist that it is played without any “shortcuts” as logical as they seem to be. I did survive for quite a while though, hence me asking whether enabling mods and changing settings after the map is generated is possible in case I do decide to spice things up just a little bit. I’m curious how a game with NPCs, more weapons and more vehicles (including tanks) would play out.
Hm, is this WAD? It seems kinda… strange behaviour to be honest.
Since it requires power, the designer likely assumed it would be powered by a proper vehicle. We lack manual plows, so… ;w;
How do I delete a hotkey for an item in my inventory?
I set tailor’s kit to ‘a’, but then also accidently set it to ‘A’ How do I fix i so that it stops setting the tailor’s kit to A when I pick them up?
So I drank from the offering chalice… Other than make me feel pain does it do anything else?
The drained chalice can be used in a recipe.
Got into playing again lately after picking up the latest version.
While reading a book in a broken car on day 2, I suddenly got wracked with pain, fuzzy vision, and temporary blindness. Wiki isn’t helping, being down and all. What gives?
Look around to see if you’re getting blasted by a floating eye?
Classic Zombies is on, and I’m in the middle of a bridge besides.
Could either be a parasite from eating raw meat/unclean water/something similar, or have you walked into a metal wreckage? Could be an infection for that as well, can’t really recall the symptoms. Perhaps radiation, if not those two.
I think I broke the camera system of my vehicle. I decided to install another vehicle control and now the cameras won’t display anything. I even tryed to install more camera control systems, but nope, they wont work.
Odd, it shouldn’t break things that bad, I hope. Remember though that cam controls can only be toggled on/off from the VEHICLE controls, and it can be toggled even if none of the camera controls are installed on the vehicle controls.
