Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Odd, it shouldn’t break things that bad, I hope. Remember though that cam controls can only be toggled on/off from the VEHICLE controls, and it can be toggled even if none of the camera controls are installed on the vehicle controls.[/quote]
Somehow they work if I add headlights to light the area that the cameras should cover. It’s day time and it’s bright outside…

Hmm. What all might be blocking the camera view range, maybe?

It works now. Not sure why.

How long does it take for seeds to grow?

It depends on what kind of seed it is, but it usually takes about the same amount of time as is in a season.

Use some fertilizer on them too. It’s pretty easy to make if you have a decent supply of bones although you can always just raid home stores, hardware stores, farms and some garden sheds iirc.

So I can’t get my camera system to work. First time this has happened. I place camera’s all over the place on the outside on heavy duty boards I am turning the camera system from a tile with both the camera controls and vehicle controls.

Is it nighttime?
Cameras don’t see in the dark very well.

Bright daylight.

Edit: Fixed, camera control system in wrong tile…

Hm. I guess I’ll just live with it until I can get to a pharmacy.

You can get the anti-parasitic drugs pretty reliably from labs and occassionally lab associated cirtters, like scientists, the human scientist bodies, and even boomers I think. And hospitals.

Note to self: The filled circle selection setting in the map editor is actually just a filled rectangle and will totally fuck up the building you just spent an hour working on. Cool!

What’s the difference between RV kitchen unit and FOODCO kitchen buddy?

Basically, as the item description itself says:

“While it is surprisingly handy for vacuum-sealing as well as dehydrating food, the cheery sales pitch neglected to mention A - how awkward the damn thing is, B - That you still need a normal kitchen and C - how it doesn’t take batteries. You’re going to have to weld it to a vehicle, or something else with a supply of electricity, if you want to use it. In addition to the food preservation features, it also has a water-purification system, a drawer for holding extra tools, and for some insane reason, a press and die set for hand-loading ammunition.”

So it’s useless to the mycus? I was half hoping to replace the RV kitchen with it if it was an upgraded version. I’ve been keeping the kitchen as a mounted hotplate.

It’s amusing and sorta nifty if you really like making ammo, at least. o3o

It has the functions of a vacuum sealer and a food dehydrator, at least. No need to reload handheld food dehydrators as it’s hooked to a car battery. Plus it can purify water instantly as well. You can wield a 30 gallon drum filled with water and use the FOODCO to purify the entire thing in one go.

Even better, add funnels and a dirty water tank to your vehicle, then with a single command you can purify it and add the clean water to your clean water tank. Never need to collect water or use containers to move it around again. Just fill your waterskin from your vehicle’s reserves and purify the dirty water if the clean water reserves are getting low.

You can also install a plain water purifier though. >.>

I get water using a CMB to extract it from corpses but this is better I guess. I don’t really know when I will need lots of clean water but better have it than not.
