Hmm. Does Genetic Chaos sate the demands of Metallassomaiphile? owo
Don’t think so, IIRC it only triggers when you consume the questionable substances, not from external sources.
Boo. ;w;
I just had a deranged idea that might just work.
Would it?
I noticed that in winter food never seems to rot. Or at least it takes a ridiculously long time. Therefore presumably the lower the temperature the longer food lasts. A minifridge just isn’t cold enough.
But what about storing your meat in an ice lab?

That’s been suggested before, it works quite handily. Only issue it preserves the player’s corpse just as well.
You could survive down there wearing a load of fur clothing and/or electrical heated clothing right?
Yea, Chimera realistically isn’t a very good mutation tree for any semblance of long term survival, and without the right bionics, neither is Elf-A. Typically I would say Elf-A has a one year lifespan, and Chimera has a one month lifespan.
In the case of Elf-A, you’ll die from health depletion, caused by the Disintegration and Radiation. But it’s much easier to sustain yourself with it if you know exactly what you’re doing(Self Awareness can seriously help your long-term survivability).
Elf-A isn’t that bad - with robust genetics and a few purifiers around, you can pretty easily get all the good stuff and only less bad stuff (no disintegration or radiation, for instance).
But yes, Chimera is just suicide with a nice name on it.
I know it’s already been asked but the solution now doesn’t work so how do you get rid of sidewalk so you can build on that tile?
I’m trying to fortify my Apartment block but I can’t with the sidewalk in the way. .___.
small cheating question: its possible to localize vehicle in world files? and if yes, how?

… Can a shovel dig it up? First thing that comes to mind.

Nay, just says “You can’t build there”
Hm. I got nuthin.
On a different note–with lateral gear, now, the layering penalties are only removed if both pieces are lateral, right? I can wear a sheath and a holster, but not a sheath and belt (without layering penalties that is).

Last time I tried anything like that, the easiest way was to build a doorframe on it, then smash the doorframe.

Build the first step of a Stone Wall on top of it(You only need like 40 rocks, easily obtained during the process of building a Dorf Fortress like I did). Then smash the Stone Wall. It produces a Dirt Tile.
Source: I used this to grow mushrooms underground, by the light of vortex generators.
So tell me I’m not the only one that goes above and beyond all sort of reason to put down and butcher Survivor Zombies? Every time I see one, I always go completely out of my way to kill it and make sure it doesn’t get up, no matter what the time is, or what’s going on around me. I’ve isolated them out from hordes of 100+ zombies just to put them out of their misery.
I guess it gives me Karma point and good luck in my journeys, but evidently not enough for my Space Marine.

Uh I do this but mostly for those juicy juicy survivor equipment drops.
I just started a new pure/default points & traits character, walk to the neighboring house (burning building start), lo and behold, survivor suit, gloves, boots, harness, and helmet in the basement thanks to those fuckers.

You could always store meat in the first basement of an ice lab, which is cold enough to preserve anything, and shack up on the floor above. Be sure to clear the lab first so you won’t have to deal with noise.
Out of all the mutation categories I believe medical is the best. I can deal with the bad traits, using purifier and the good traits are awesome. Getting a shotgun blast to the face and healing it fully after 2 minutes is always fun.
Noob question:
Are the various vehicle frame shapes a game mechanic or just eyecandy? If it is indeed a game mechanic, is common sense a fair way to go about choosing appropriate vehicle frame shapes? Are there caveats I should be aware of?

its just eyecandy
