Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Dissectors are traps that do a lot of damage, so don’t step on them unless you have some decent armour for each body part. Also if you’re running frail/fragile, steer clear.
Light survivors’ suit used to do the job, but I’m not how the Armour has been re-balanced.
Good for training tailoring though, unless you’ve got a high dodge and light step.

As to torso encumberance I’m not sure SWAT armor layers well, so there might be bonus encumberance/layering penalty from that. Not really experimented with the new encumberance system a lot yet either.

I got the slimy mutation from being genetically unstable and my room floor is now green…

Paint the town green. I wish the slime was flammable though…

If it was green I would die! I installed a flamethrower on a bike (formerly a welding cart.)

Where is my flamethrower… I need to purge a mutant.

…we can talk about this…

But i was taught not to speak with the mutant .
Hm okay how about you take this purifier so we can talk.

That would help, no damn mop can clean all these green slime.

You’re supposed to eat the mutant. Well, the elf-a at least. :V

I HATE that mutation. SO ANNOYING.

And it’s considered a “good” mutation, so having robust genetics makes it MORE LIKELY to get. :-/

I don’t think it’s too bad. You get a big happiness bonus instead of getting depressed when swimming or out in the rain. Moreover, that trail helps you keep track of places you already went to, really helpful when raiding labs and other large, dark structures. Not a trait I’d go out of my way to have, but definitely not something I’d mind having either.

What food do you guys pack (if any) on your character? I’m attempting to find the most filling, yet least encumbering way. Right now, I just filled my plastic canteen, 2.5 canteen, and hydration pack with mineral water for drink. For food, I take 2-3 MREs and lots of honey combs, which take up little space and are filling. But I may stray away from mainly honeycombs, since each one is 1 volume.

I tend to go with jerky, aspic, etc. If you’re innawoods, you could just kill things and cook it as needed, but 10 volume of jerky is a hefty 360 nutrition.

Just started playing again after a long break, always played vanilla so today I decided to try some mods. Arcana mod and Tank are awesome, but I think the tank mod quadruples the chances for military vehicles, or is it just my luck? Everywhere I go there are swat, security, humvees and armored cars.

Wah wah waaaah. You just listed nothing but vanilla vehicles. ;w;

When making a weapon into a turret, what else do you have to do to be able to mount it on the roof? the “on_roof” location is good to go. Maybe the flags? They are: [“TURRET”, “CARGO”, “MANUAL”]

Main thing is to avoid any other cargo items on that space. Hence why military seats exist. If I recall, a roof even even really needed.

Yeah, I swapped the seat for a military seat and it did the trick…

Exactly why it exists. <3

Y’know, never seen a swat van until the latest experimental. Seen pretty much everything else though. We might need to tweak the spawn settings for SWAT and armoured cars up a notch.

Also has anyone found SWAT armour in the police armory yet?
