I can’t go to sleep. I have the insomniac trait so it makes it harder, but it says I’m tired. What should I do? Just wait?
Wait four hours after you are tired, then put on something to cover you eye and ears, lay on a comfortable bed with a blanket and pillow and hope for the best.
yea Shouldn’t those things cause temporary sleepiness increase? If I recall correctly I took a bunch of cough syrup (vain attempt to sleep away immense pain) and only ever increasingly gained sleepiness instead of ever losing any. Granted not being able to sleep was a large part of this, but the sleepiness effects of drugs etc… should fade away after a while instead of increasing the total amount of time you need to spend sleeping right? Or am I misunderstanding how the game’s sleep mechanic works or something?
On the topic of sleeping and cough syrup, is there any other way to recover from a cold other than sleeping and take the medicine? Because somehow, I contracted the cold.
seems like higher health stat would make it pass quicker but my understanding is this is not the case :(. So… just eat, and drink well and sleep it away while you read books with a runny nose I guess? AND NO SNOT ON MY NEW BIONICS FOR DUMMIES BOOK! Or blood and feces for that matter. I need that for when I am operating on myself and installing bionics.
Don thy Gasmask and never, ever remove it.
Even just wearing a dust mask or two helps a lot.
Chug sleepy cough syrup like a madman, make sure you drink lots of water, eat your vitamins and sleep it off. Might take a few days.
Also wear a Sleeping bag or a blanket when you go to sleep, even if you’ve got a bed.
If you get a gamma gobulin shot that should get rid of it in a few hours or a night of rest if you have enough water to stop being dehydrated. Also make sure you get some hot food.
The Hidden health stat can creep up on you pretty quick-- especially if you’re often cold/freezing or get caught in the rain-- even more so if you get injured.
Also remember to remove your sleeping bag and dust masks while fighting unless you fancy being an Oscar Mayer Wiener.
Mmmm. Meat Flavoured-meat.
I’m stockpiling crafted royal jelly to deal with those colds because they are just that annoying.
Also I used a flu jab and it didn’t seem to prevent them. (Actually makes sense. Why would it affect the cold? It’s not flu. But in game it says it helps with colds.)
Meanwhile, I’ve encountered something odd. I have the “snap to target” option on but the visible view area doesn’t follow the crosshair when it’s moved off screen or locked onto an enemy off screen.
Help? It’s really annoying.
On the other hand pressing X to “look” and moving off screen works fine.
Do you guys have any types on finding military loot or police/swat loot? I’m attempting to find something akin to a suit of swat armor. And I just got my first mutation! Hooray (it was disease resistant). If I want more mutations, should I just tool around at toxic waste dumps and meteor crashes?
Regarding the snap to target option, it seems to be entirely broken until I turn off “tiles”. Then it works fine.
This is obviously terrible. Is there a fix?
Edit: OK so it seems to be a known issue… I hope someone fixes it because this is REALLY crappy when you have something like a 120mm tank cannon or sniper rifle.
SWAT trucks are random spawns, but they’re the only times I’ve found the SWAT armor. And…radiation is bad for you. Mutagen is a more control way to get some, if you go lab-diving. Yuggs can mutate you if I recall, and scientist zombies have one of many special attacks that apparently can mutate you. Rat king is also good if you specifically want rat mutations.
Ah, glorious Fun ensues. In addition to standard knife functions, it has an extra option at the end of its use_action list. Note one of the other recipes from the book its associated with involves bloody samples or bloody rags, the latter of which is obviously easy to obtain. >.>
Oh so it IS that option. I had thought you’d use it on enemy corpses or something rather than that.
… On an unrelated note, for the love of god someone explain why zombies (not hulks) can seriously damage my tank? They’re just trying to get through it and there’s electronic scrap ending up all over the ground. I’ve savescummed because that’s bullshit. It’s A TANK. And I don’t think they got through the armour first either.
I could’ve given it the vacutainer function, but that would’ve been a bit…odd.
As for that, I’m assuming they’re hitting the cameras? The atomic mini-tank in particular has a few exposed ones due to being too small to surround them in a layer of quarterpanels, which stops damage to the parts behind it.
If the vehicle’s diagonal though, the cameras are exposed. Weird vehicle physics is weird.
