Is there any way to prevent zombie grabbing? Being grabbed and stuck while standing on acid is no fun.

It is FUN though. Ranged weapons are good at stopping grabbing/grabbers.

What might add to the confusion is that about a month or two ago, the new zombie evolution setting was backwards. Where the higher it was, the later they’d start evolving. Now it makes sense where the higher the setting, the faster they evolve.

For the tank mod, is there an actual way to use any of the turrets on the tanks? The configure menu seems to be always empty…

You have to actually go to the gunner’s seat and fire it manually, like on an actual tank. Seems I’m gonna need to mention that in the thread.

EDIT: Also, any way to work around the debug message that’s prompted by assigning a ranged weapon an oddball skill, like first aid or arcana?

I’m having a problem with picking up a steel jerrycan. When I tried to pick it up it said do I want to wield it because it’s volume was too large. I pressed Y to accept and it simply picked it up, and put it back on the ground saying ‘some items tumbled to the ground’. Any help?

Edit: I think it’s because my arm is broken. Took me longer than it should’ve to realize that.

I would guess it could happen eventually but not being able to do pretty much anything but sit in the back of an RV in the middle of nowhere using all of the supplies until I get to the point where I have to use alcohol to survive anyway probably won’t work, unless I find more a lot more food.

Sadly the best option is to stock up and wait it out, yeah. Best time to find yourself still nursing a bottle while you gather supplies is BEFORE you try and recover.

Anyways, I got a message come up on the last 2 days after waking up saying ‘you struggle to awareness. Being awake seems somewhat harder to reach today’ Does it mean I’ve got something or is it just random?

(I seem to get problem after problem when I’m not busy dying. :’( )

It’s the new messages that show up when waking up, to report on your healthiness stat. That means you’re healing less damage overnight, more likely to catch a cold, and I think less likely for an infected bite wound to vanish on its own.

Likely from the alcohol withdrawl lowering it, I think? Either way, if you get vitamins, take one or two a day and your healthiness will start trending upwards without much effort.

Yeah, health score is a hidden stat that’s affected by things like drug use and food choices. Items marked junkfood can have an impact too, though good god, I hope they’re not as hard-hitting as the drugs.

Depends on how much you eat. Two portions of cracklins are as unhealthy as a dose of crack. 5 handfuls of salted popcorn are as bad as a dose of meth. A box of malted milk balls or Necco wafers is worse than a shot of heroin.

Food has a negligible effect on health stat. It’s all about vitamins (1 vitamin cancels 10 shots of heroin) and bionics (leaky bionic will ruin it, even with vitamins).
