A number from 1-100 is rolled. If it is less than or equal to 100 - (6 * (your str - 6)) - (6 * weapon skill) or your strength < 5 then it pulls the weapon out of your hands.[/quote]

However at the moment it’s bugged and only respects 3 skills: marksmanship, bashing and cutting. Weapons with cutting/bashing damage lower than 8 get no skill bonus and spears can only get the bashing bonus (because they are never cutting weapons). Also, first bonus is used rather than the best one, meaning that a weapon with 8 bashing and 20 cutting damage will use bashing skill.

Nope. In the experimental releases you have ‘survivor’s carbine’ and ‘survivor’s revolver’ which represent something a highly skilled person could fabricate outside of a factory.

That’s kinda intentional, modern weapons are made in billion-dollar factories. While you could probably learn how to make an improvised shotgun from youtube in 10 minutes, you can’t exactly replicate a Mossberg 500 with pipes and two-by-fours and an arc welder.

Whhhyyyyy are bows only repairable with gunsmithing tools? I mean really…

if its some sort of compound bow or something that kinda makes sense…even if not…Bows tend to need maintenance similar to that of guns…

Dinosaurs - Why?How?When?(According to lore, that is.)

The dinosaurs are a mod, not part of the main game. See here.

just finished my first vehicle! A scavenger ATV with lots of trunks and a couple other essentials. Finnished it and started to drive… it goes sideways. Its a crab car :,( is there a way to fix this without completely dismantling?

Nope, only complete remaking (possibly in stages) and paying attention to the vehicle menu next time. In it, up is where the result will go, always.

thanks.

Hello again,

How do you close the curtains on a window? I tried examining the window, as well as looking through the construction menu. No luck. Does this mean that the window doesn’t already have a curtain? I’m in a house, and I thought I read that domestic windows come with curtains.

You can close curtains like you close a door. by pressing c then in theire direction. Only from withing the house ofc.

Omg… Who feels stupid? I feel stupid. Thanks for the help.

Don t. I stood before some curtains i opened by running into them for a few minutes before my amazing mind came up with the solution.
Sometimes the easiest solution just doesn t occur to us.

I am an unorthodox thinker I support this message.

I keep hearing about people linking vehicles together. How do I do that?

Jumper/Heavy duty cable.

Is it considered cheap to just bring a jaques hammer into a military base and just raid it using that and one id so the turrets dont murder you

Nothing is cheap, it’s just using your resources.

Even debugging out a wall has a price… though i wonder if you can get in them without dying if you hammer in the back way

Not cheap at all, that’s exactly what I do (only with a sledgehammer, not a jackhammer). Another viable option, if you have the proper resources and a high enough throwing skill (3 or better) is to:

Step 1: Activate and drop a high explosive (dynamite, C4, etc.) right next to the door, and run away. If using timed explosives, be sure to give yourself enough time to escape the blast. Wait for the explosion.

Step 2: Stand right outside the doorframe. DO NOT enter the building yet, the turrets are still online.

Step 3: Activate another high explosive (C4 does a pretty good job) and throw it in the middle of the hallway that leads to the stairs (this is where your Level 3+ Throwing comes in).

Step 4: Wait for the explosion. The explosion from the second bomb should have taken care of all the turrets, but if you are feeling unsafe you can always peek around corners. If there are any remaining turrets, leave and come back with smaller, more expendable bombs to finish the job (pipe bombs, grenades, etc.)
