Yes, you can. However, in dojos you can only find books for unarmed styles, while the ones teaching eskrima, fencing etc are a rare spawn that you can find in the library room inside of mansions. I think this applies for some unarmed styles as well (the Five Deadly Venom ones), but I’m not sure.

Well, I went and looted a mansion, and dear god that was a huge library. No martial arts books, but I found a copy of Robots For Fun And Profit, so I’m happy anyway.

In the spirit of tips, I’ll point out that the survivor mess kit is extremely worth it. Requires fabrication 4, but it is made of easily found materials, and carries 800 charges of lamp oil. However, it’s treated as a hotplate by recipes, and so draws the same number of charges as an electric hotplate would. It goes a long way.

How can I extract a corpse from inside a dissector?

Also, what is the best tool for extracting bionics from corpses? I tried with a powered circular saw but only got one intact bionic, even with super high survival.

Advanced Inventory Menu, mapped to the / key by default. It’s complex, but has its own help on the ? key.

That’s pretty much it, and I don’t think you need a circular saw, even–a good hunting knife is fine. However, regardless of your ability or tools, I believe bionics still have a 50% chance of being burnt out when butchered.

Unless it does so in an unusual way, it does not. The entire mod is literally just a blacklist for a handful of enemy spawns.

On a related note, I keep hearing about these granades, anywhere in particular to look for them?

And a tip: if you want a minireactor for your car, I just got one by deconstructing a plutonium generator at a military outpost that got swarmed by zombies. So try leading a few hordes into one, might manage to get an opening to sneak in at night.

Basically anywhere a grenade would normally spawn, but it’s a very very slim chance.

Okay, so both my arms broke after I contracted a fungal infection. I splinted them, and my left one healed up right away, but I’ve worn the splint for about a week now and the right one is still broken. Is there something I’m missing?

Health values impact your success chances. Eat healthily and you’ll heal broken limbs sooner. That said other then that it’s just bad luck, it’s a chance roll every X amount of time type of thing.

Question about the UPS / battery. Is it possible to recharge those things with bionic power?

No, but there’s Integrated UPS bionic which functions as UPS for everything that can take it, and UPS Mod that allows battery-taking items to use UPS power instead.

My The Book of Five Rings was found in a dojo, so not necessarily only unarmed. I think the distinction is “stereotypically Eastern martial arts”, so you won’t find escrima or fencing in a dojo, but you can find Niten Ichi-Ryu or most of unarmed ones.

…wow. That’s pretty powerful. Thankfully by the time you can drown in lamp oil it’s supplanted by vehicle power, but anyway.

No difference. Only thing positive butchering affects is time you take to butcher.

Army jackets also give a smaller storage volume (14) compared to the trenchcoat (24), and can’t be crafted/may be more dfficult to find them. Aside that, they are pretty much superior.

Sorry if this has been asked before but how the hell do you get into gunstores now? They are all covered in metal and I don’t want to have to drive my truck into the wall everytime just to be disappointed. I know explosives work as well but I’m trying to figure out a way to do it practically, minimum damage to everything and quietly.

Either use an acetylene torch or Probability Travel CBM.

Ah. Haven’t found one of those yet at all. I’m guessing you find them in hardware stores, do you activate them or fire them like a weapon? Do you use the construction menu? Do you need face protection?

An easier method to get into gun stores is by using a picklock kit; or improvised picklocks. You might want to bring a few!

I’m not sure if they removed the feature of lock picking gun stores or not though, so I could be wrong. I’ve certainly done it more than a few times in old experimentals.

I think I tried that, or it might have been a crowbar. I remember getting a "you can’t lockpick/pry that!"
I’ll try again the next chance I get though. Really hope lockpicks work.
