Oh, so it’s just a longer jumper cable. I thought it was for pulling other vehicles -_- there go half of my plans for that character.
Don’t worry, towing vehicles will make it in someday.
Howdy,
Just a quick question, why do revolvers eject the case after each shot? In particular, the Ruger Redhawk, which is usually reloaded and emptied an entire cylinder at a time. Also, I was able to suppress it, which isn’t really a thing, and looks like it was mentioned in this thread in the past as a bug. Is this just because I’m on 0.A, instead 0.B or the latest experimental?
Still new, and just let me know if there’s a better place for questions like this.

Arguably a bug report in the garage, but yeah, we fixed this a while ago. Update to either 0.B stable or latest experimental, and it be fixed.

Still new, and just let me know if there’s a better place for questions like this.
Actually the way revolvers in the game currently reload is accurate to how the older style fixed cylinder revolvers worked, you had to load/empty each chamber one after another. But you’re right, the Ruger Redhawk, having a swing-out cylinder, should unload all the spent brass at once, and if you have loaded speedloaders(not yet implemented), reload all at once.
Which, of course, brings us to how a magazine/clip system could eventually be implemented.

Generally matched what I’d heard, thanks. On my list of things to do.

Oh, absolutely. No disagreement for fixed cylinders. For swing outs though it’s a bit counter intuitive. Still, not really a big deal.

And I figured someone else had already covered that ground, but I didn’t turn it up in a search. Must not have been asking the right question.
Thanks
No problem, here’s to hoping more realistic gun reloading gets implemented in the not too distant future!
How do I know what weapon skills a weapon use. For example the 2-by-word has more bashing than cutting damage but it’s a cutting weapon?
AFAIK both skills are trained when fighting with it and both are also used.
Pretty sure a 2-by-sword uses both, same with other weapons.
Though the only thing I have backing this up is the fact my broadsword trained both cutting and bashing, but cutting faster.
Is there any way to see the actual time in terms of numbers? I am aware of the status bar near the season/day string, but since there is an option letting you choose the time format, I am wondering where it is displayed.
You’ll have to find a clock/wristwatch/Internal Chronometer CBM or any other timekeeping devices.
Everything makes sense now. Thanks!
Just got the latest experimental and I’m seeing a “Animatronic Monsters” mod, are these armed with overpowered guns and are they fast?
If no to both, then I’m fine, even if they are capable of nigh instakill melee.
Is there anything that iluminates Area so i can read books without any batteries?
Computers (like the one in evac shelters) provide enough light to do anything by, same with the atomic nightlight and I think NV mutations.
Atomic nightlight’s work (rare though.) and consoles work too. (you can find a console in the shelter if you started in one, or there’s one near where you spawned, consoles also spawn in radio buildings (forgot the name) and labs, they might spawn in banks but I don’t remember.)
Night vision works too but you’d either need to be mutated or have the bionic.
You got sniped by catonym
Guess I did but that sniper rifle looks pretty cheap, loot a better one next time.
