How do i use under slug grenade launchers? e.g i installed one on my m41
I’m dyslexic and British, and i spelled it as fibre before but Google corrected me and I assumed it knew best. Well its nice to know my gut was right anyway.
This might have been asked before, but is there a way to dismiss NPCs you conned persuaded to follow you?
I really just asked this guy to follow me so I could lead him back to the safety inside of the evac center.
Capital F changes weapon fire modes. If you have an underslung grenade launcher or a rail crossbow kit installed that lets you switch to those.

Not that I know of. I see something about bulleten boards and being able to ditch them there, but I have yet to see any.
If you construct (*) a bulletin board you can mark the place as your base and leave your followers there.
Note: They will pick up your stuff and claim it is now theirs! I recommend if you make a bulletin board build it away from your stash of loot.
- You wear clothes in the order you put them on. So, even though common sense would make you believe that when you put on long underwear on your legs you’re wearing them under your pants, you’ll be actually wearing them over them if you put them on later. Always make sure the most protective (environment, cut and bash) clothes are in the outside layer (further down in the list).
wow, you just saved a zillion utility vests from needless destruction!
also trenchcoats.
I totally do that on purpose. Because wearing underpants over your pants gives you superpowers!
Rofl, in all fairness. Thanks for this info, I didn’t know this at all.
vitamins … does it make sense to eat your 10-packs right away?
aspirin seems to work best with a few minutes between pills, caffeine pills seem to dope you up right away, antibiotics only seem to work when infected/needed. but vitamins? do they go into some internal gas-tank or how do people take them?
They seem to do… absolutely nothing.
Their entry in itypedef.cpp explicitly says “&iuse::none”. And, if you’re curious, there’s also no entry for them in iuse.cpp. So, either their function is defined elsewhere or they are indeed absolutely useless.
Just eat them all at once. They add to your health stat, which is used to determine sickness and stuff. But there’s no limiter, so it’s most efficient to just neck them as soon as you get them.
Re:Vitamins
If you eat 30 vitamins, you half your chance for getting a cold. Every 30min your health level drops by about 1/3 vitamin, unless you’re approaching 0 when it slows down some.
It seems from looking at the code the best strategies are either: Eat them all and get them whenever you can, or ignore. A middle of the road strategy doesn’t seem to make sense.
I just eat two each morning…
OH! i found out when milk goes bad! 8:30 first morning
hey! thanks for the fast feedback, now i have one less thing to carry.
btw, took me a while to write back cause i was stuck in the basement tinkering with a revolutionary device built from 2 found bikes and some stuff i hauled down there from the garages. lets just say it involves comfy seats and flashlights. i would have settled for braziers, but they crashed my game. but this is better. pictures soon.
Smeggin’ hell. So I take off my sunglasses without specifying that I take off my safety glasses first, then put the sunglasses back on, I’m wearing the sunglasses outside the safety glasses.
Frankly, a Trenchcoat under the Army Pants ought to be a serious encumbrance problem, and I’m not sure how one would use the storage in a vest if you’ve got a shirt on over it. If they can simplify boiling water, they can certainly make clothing intuitive, because the current system isn’t doing it for me.
Gonna ask that the devs implement under/mid/over layering before pulling any more temperature stunts.
There’s some kind of check already present that prevents stacking clothes in the wrong order, but I’ve only seen it for head items. If you try to put, say, a baseball cap over an army helmet the game won’t let you. You have to take off the helmet first.
and no breaking savefiles please.
and ambient temperature aka constantly cool yet heatable undergound lairs. no standing in fires to get warm. aaargh
It’s pretty confusing though, I am pretty sure I have stacked like 3 socks on my shoes.
I am sure I would have died earlier, if the zombies weren’t busy laughing their jaws off looking at my sock-over-shoe, underpants-over-pants wearing guy.
you mean the ones that could actually see you
if your sword gets stuck in a monster and you run to heal
… does the monster de-spawn (and take the sword with it?)
