I need a water purifier soon. All this sewage and toilet water can't be good for my health.

Just boil the water on a fire / hotplate. Use a fire when you can since its an near unlimited resource, hot plate in emergencies since batteries are better saved.

Still, I’d really like to make a purifier. Purifying a jerrycan full of water would be more time efficent, but thanks for the tip, forgot about fire purifying water. Now I need to find a frying pan or a pot lol.

Ive been converting a cave to a floored house to I go through a lot of food (got from hunting) and water doing that. Will have a room with 200ish dressers when I’m done and basically no danger. Will be set until I get bored.

Hi just a few questions

1 can you places thing into storage for eg the lockers in the Eva. Shelter

2 does the -2 encumberence on the sneakers really affect running? Should I just wear steel toecap boats

3 what’s the best melter weapon cutting…machete bashing… sledgehammer?

Yup. just like e> allows you to pick up anything in an adjacent square, D allows to do multidrop to any adjacent square, including lockers. (of course you could always smash lockers into scrap and turn them into crowbars, but still.)
Steel toe boots protect your feet from rubble and sharp metal wreckage and probably give pretty nice defence bonuses too, but yeah the sneakers you start with are a perfect fit so I do think they give you a little speed boost. So, for looting take sneakers. For melee killage, take boots.
Sledgehammer only if you’re very strong-- it takes a lot of moves to attack. For starter weapons you can never go wrong with a crowbar, nailboard or hammer-- two of which you can make before leaving the shelter.
If you can find a machete or make a lawnmower machete though those are pretty damn good (fast attack, high damage.) Best cutting weapon though is probably the Katana (lol, of course. bullets are cutting dmg too though.) HOWEVER the first time I used mine (zero skill in cutting) It got stuck in the Zed and pulled out of my grip. on the other hand, my nailboard gets stuck in zeds all the time and I can always pull it out.

Also wood and steel spears are damn fine throwing weapons.

Good advice… I always go with a high str character. So sledgehammer seems viable. Kinda rare tho. Also I never thought of breaking the lockers to craft a crowbar but I knew about the nail board.

I like the nailbat over a sledge. Sledge is a little too slow in my opinion. It’s sweep attack is nice but ideally you want to be figting zeds one at a time anyway.

Really melee weapons are all a matter of preference. They all seem really well balanced with eachother and it’s hard to really say which is outright the best.

Yeah. my first weapon tends to be a nailboard until I get a baseball bat, then use ( Disassemble nailboard, construct nailbat. very nice weapon. saves you smashing up nearby counters in the city and drawing zeds close.

However, the crowbar is a passable melee weapon (a bit slower than the nailboard though, iirc.) and also helps you open locked doors without smashing them down, which is pretty nice for night raiding, so instead of a nailboard I usually just run out, grab a rock and bash a locker in for a crowbar before running in to the town for looting.

I know a lot of you are probably americans but I’d love to see cricket bats ingame. you can’t get the force of a baseball bat behind them, but dear lord you can still bash a zed’s head in with one-- and probably block some attacks too.

In a recent update a machine was added to hospitals that let you regain your limbs. I havn’t had the chance to use it myself yet, but it’s worth a shot.

It gives you a bonus to dexterity, and if you have more than 1 pair then you get extra attacks, but you have permanent hand encumberance and it destroys your current handgear as well as making it impossible for you to wear it.

Do tentacles stop you from using ranged weapons? melee weps? or just unarmed, etc?

Also implement saucy japanese schoolgirls.
I wanna turn into a ball of slime, tentacles and Misc milky fluids.

So I just need the tentacles, really. =)
