It “goes away”, so to say, but when it does it inflicts random effect on you. Including but not limited to fungal infection.
Ooooo, yeah. That’s the worst, certain death if you don’t have the cure on hand.
My current character has been enjoying “hands-off gameplay” for 30+ in-game days now after being looked at by flaming eye.
No fungal treatment in sight.
So, yea, far from “certain death”.
I never bothered testing but now I’m curious: are arms considered just broken in that case or are they completely gone and can’t regenerate save for maybe via certain mutations?
Any character I’ve had who lost their arms to fungal infection was rendered permanently immobile from pain so I’m honestly not sure if you can still cure yourself and then splint them like regular.
It might be possible with the deadened mutation or sensory dulling but I’m not sure.
Again, 30+ days after the arms are gone to fungal fun and running. It’s nowhere near as bad as you might think: basically, you can’t use weapons and you can’t wield items. But you can still craft, and you can still use vehicles. And you can still construct and update vehicles, too.
Yea, your stats drop to zero every so often due to pain, but it’s nowhere near as debilitating as you might think: as long as you’re not too overloaded, that just lowers your speed to 1/4 normal speed.
But as long as you remain mostly vehicle-bound, vehicle speed remains unchanged. So it’s very survivable if you know how to use vehicles for raiding.
And, yes, you CAN still mend the arms back after you cure the culprit.
P. S. This character has “pain sensitive” as starting trait, by the way. So, no, you don’t need “to be deadened”.
Are fingerhack and fingerpick only obtainable via starting profession choice?
I’ve seen those cbms drop before so I would say no.
How do you automate a turret, is there a tutorial on that or that’s straightforward?
If you mean turret on a vehicle, you need turret control unit installed on the same tile as the turret, after that you can choose targeting mode from vehicle controls menu.
Yes exactly! I don’t know how to craft it though … ?
unrelated question, very newbish. Is
| .
in better shape than
\ .
?
Okay… I just learned this right now and while I don’t know how likely it is but my m16 taking 300blk reloads just one shotted a wall. Certainly one way for breaking and entering.
That page I linked also includes a link to crafting recipe, just press “craft” button there. You would need quite a lot of things to build it though.
And yes, | . is better than \. As far as I know, it goes “||” -> “|\” -> “|.” -> “\.” -> “XX” -> totally destroyed.
Not gonna lie. That’s pretty hardcore.
By the way, eventually the character found a chemistry textbook (on a bookshelf in a normal house) on day 34 of fungal infection. For those 34 days, the plan was “on days when the pain is bearable, hop into a motorbike and ride around the map looking into windows for something to cure the infection”.
10 days later still, arms became functional again.
Quick question, about 0.D (I use this for my canon character play through, the one I actually care about)
Is starting a building fire still a quasi effective way of attracting zombies to a fiery doom? Are they still attracted to the sounds and walk into the blaze, an the bodies get burned away? I find myself stuck inside an apt highrise, surrounded by hordes not too distant all on sides.
What is the simplest method of bury a body?
- Build coffin
- Put body in coffin
- Seal coffin
- Dig grave and bury sealed coffin
Steps 1, 3 and 4 are done via the construction menu, * by default.
Thanks, but I meant not building a coffin. I want to bury some random, but non zombies strangers.
Unfortunately, the way things work currently you can’t bury anyone without a coffin.
