from what i noticed, you can only smash the car tile if you cant work on its tile (like a windshield does) otherwise you only end up smashing the floor
Slings and staff slings smash up cars quite well, fire pebbles and rocks at they cars
A few random questions.
- Can i recruit any npc in the refugee center? if so how? (excluding the merc that asks for 2500 cata bucks)
2.To what do i need to crank up the random npc spawn rate to actually get some? i upped it from .10 to .40 and i still have not seen any (want to make a base)
If you’re playing current experimentals, I believe a change was made that causes NPCs to move towards “safe” locations now, so they’re less likely to be standing in the middle of the street being mobbed by zombies, but at the same time it’s now harder to spot them unless you go poking around in farms and shelters and such.
So i will need to revisit as many farms/evac centers?, might have to find new evac centers then since the 2 on my map are within the sphere of a fungal bloom and i do not want to return there.
Is it normal for the chamber behind the DARPA terminal to be empty (mech finale)?
You sure you aren’t thinking about SD cards, Cochise?
Oh yeah, exactly, my bad
How do I climb down a drain pipe, or can you only climb up them?
"e"xamine a tile by the drain and you will be given a prompt to climb down.
If you ever find a house/store with the only way in being boarded door/window which can’t be neither pried, nor cut nor lockpicked, don’t panic! Press % and select “pull out nails”. Instead of just pulling the nails out, it will also “pull out” planks which were held by those nails, making it a regular door/window.
I’ve noticed some status changes when eating the protein bars found at the emergency shelter. For the first few days it says “gross food” then changes into “demoralizing food” then back to “gross food” after cutting back on the bars for a day or two. Is this supposed to be like the mutant meat where it’s not noticeable at first but has serious consequences later, or is it not fully implemented yet? Because my morale hasn’t taken a serious hit, even on “demoralizing food” status.
Not sure how obvious this trick is, but I only discovered it tonight:
You can add a foldable roof to a foldable frame and this way you get a deployable "high ground " that you can climb to via stepladder.
It might not sound initially impressive, but think about the implications: you can bring it to the top of any structure, unfold it, add a stepladder and get an even better view of the surrounding area.
And this works with all kinds of structures: silos, radio towers, normal buildings, etc.
P. S. You can stack these on top of each other for even greater height, too!
Every single one that I’ve seen (about 20, given how much lab challenges I’ve started) was empty. But I think it’s a bug since in a fraction of those cases there was a rather useful thing nearby. Once that thing was in a WC of an adjacent section. But that one is probably its own thing and is related to a change that was made around build 9700, give a take a few hundreds, which made things (known to me predominantly because of animals) spawn on the other side of various barriers (usually walls) if their spawn point was close enough to that barrier.
Is there a way to grow marijuana? It is a plant, after all, but I can’t seem to find a way to make seeds from it.
Also, completely unrelated, but how do you refit things?
Do you need to have the z-levels enabled or other setting?, i have tried that, and i cant get the prompt for it, neither to climb it.
you need a tool with sewing, then use it on the desired item with the reinforce option iirc
Thank you! Found a genuine O-Yoroi in a mansion and was VERY excited to throw it on myself.
There are seeds yeah, iirc when you grow some and harvest the plant you get a some seeds. I could be misremembering though.
I’m pretty sure you do need z-levels enabled if you want to climb up or down walls. “<” lets you climb up walls if you have some form of support (such as a downspout or a bookshelf). To get down you either jump down (dangerous) or climb down near a place that would let you climb up (unless you are a Cephalopod, in that case you can climb down wherever you want).
Reminder for newer players: if your character starts eating for two (or 10, or 50, or more) then find some mugwort. It can also be made into oil which lasts much longer. And make sure you get more than one portion because it has less than 100% chance of working.
