Tips, Tricks and Newb Questions: Reborn!

Has the speed thing for the game been majorly reworked, I’m running and barely using any stamina, and my turn times are about 50-90, while zombies still keep up to me…?

did you give yourself Quick, Fleet Footed and the Parkour (i forget the proper name) trait as well? i don’t have issues being just barely quicker than zombies personally.

also you can adjust the zombie speed in the options if you want, i think i set mine to 80%.

No, it’s O.D 2518 though, which could’ve been a PR that experimented with speed…

Just in case someone was wondering the problem of the not being able to dig through rock:
The problem was the “mining mod”, just dletd it loaded and can dig normally

So do I have to put up with downloading windows tiles and turning off all the tiles features now?

Yep. (20 characters)

Okay, so I’ve just eaten a lot of cooked kidneys and now my character is in constant pain and losing sight every now and then. Is this going to kill me and what exactly had caused this?

sounds like a parasite

And you’ll need to take an antiparasitic drug for that…

Does tears in reality have a spawn cap?, and how can a yugg be killed safely?

Hey guys… I’m in a stage where i have a steady supply of cbms… But i have no other reliable powering cbms other than joint torsion ratchet. Lately the internal furnace cbm has been nerfed or something, is this right? Is there any cbm other than metabolic interchange that i need keep my eyes peeled for?

I’m quite fond of the cable charging system, you’ll need something to charge from though. It’s one of my favourites, especially late game when you have a large pool of bionic power to burn through. Generally that for when I have a lot to charge (get a heavy cable, plug in and go get some sleep) and metabolic to keep things ticking over when I’m not using loads of power. Unless it’s been changed recently or something anyways.

Internal Furnace CBM has been removed from lists, so unless you already have one, it’s gone.

I completely understand why it was removed, but it is a bit of a bummer I can’t consume dozens of wood planks and blankets anymore.

It was put in Aftershock, though, thanks to Rail-Runner.

I was looking over the code a while ago and spotted something I never knew that might help you folks: Each piece of furniture you push up next to a door or window increases the difficulty of breaking it down.

Oh cool I’m playing with your mod on. And I have gotten the cable charging cbm installed as well. So everything is fine i guess.

Does that count for adjacent tiles too, or just a single vertical line of chairs, etc.?

It counts adjacent tiles. Every piece of adjacent furniture bumps up the door/window’s resistance by another point. You’d max out at five, but the two on the other side would just get smashed by zombies, so you’re practically limited to three. Still, even one extra point is nothing to sneeze at, especially since it’s way faster to shove furniture over than board something up.

I’m astonished that I never realized this.

On that note, keep an eye out for the gun shop layout that was barricaded by would be survivors.

o_o

Spoiler alert, it didn’t work for them.
