Taaanks [Merged]

As I’ve mentioned, Blaze’s latest edition of the mod, on his thread, fucks up Tank mod something fierce.

I’m still pissed at him for that. This is going to become an even bigger clusterfuck if he PRs that. Just when players finally start getting used to the idea of VAP turrets being manual-only, what does he do?

Yeah, I know. I’m just relaying the error so you’ve got a little indication on what’s going wrong now. Though you probably already know.

Personally, I don’t care either way. I’m just glad to have the ammo rack parts. Automatic turrets or not, no big deal to me. I don’t use them in the first place.

Ammo racks do sound useful, though. I’m guessing the primary error is the M2 Browning turret, which was used on the atomic mini-tank, was removed?

I’ll need to find the latest version of his mod and see what else is broken.

EDIT: Looks like it’s literally just the removal of the M2 Browning turret. I could fix this easily by giving it a laser turret, but I’m really hoping he goes back on the “undo overrides” idea before PRing this.

Then again, if I have to make every tank cannon non-manual, I guess that’ll solve the endless questions about why they can’t fire the main guns…

Could just add the m2 browning as part of the tank mod so it works retroactively with worlds that would update…

Might work. I have no idea what occurs with overrides defined in multiple mods though.

You can find the latest version by looking for ChaosVolt (the original author) on google for his Github Repo. It was one of the obsoleted mods due to it not being maintained or satisfactory in its implementation- to note, before removal I offloaded the tank treads from old blazemod to it in order to make it self sufficient. You can also get the last working version before CV took control of it again on my archive of it at https://github.com/Soup-de-Loop/CDDA-tankmod-legacy-latest.
