Shocker zombies don't electrocute the player when hit with metal weapons?

I was fighting a shocker brute with my rapier, and every time I stabbed it, my player was never electrocuted. I thought this was weird, so I went and attacked a nearby regular shocker. The same thing happened, every time I stabbed rhe shocker my player was never electrocuted.

Is this a bug or has there been a change made in the experimentals?

Did you, by chance, happen to stun them with all of your attacks?

I’m pretty sure I didn’t stun the shockers with every attack I made

Don’t know what could be happening, could you give your clothing and CBM loadout?
There might be something in there that is blocking the zapback.
