Are saves generally supposed to work from revision to revision? Is it helpful to report an issue, if a save created from one revision breaks in a later revision?
I just recently started building from github. In an earlier revision from about a week ago, I created a game. Pulling maybe every other day, I’ve run that same game fine until yesterday. Now, it loads fine, but crashes after the same number of turns each time, writing config/crash.log.
True, but it’s always a good idea to report an error like this, as (to my understanding) it’s a goal to keep saves compatible, at least from stable to stable. And if it breaks from one experimental build to an other, it might also break from the last stable build (and it’s usually easier to track down the cause if reported immediately).
