Utilizing existing carpet terrain is a very good idea. I’ll look into this soon.
CBM: Hydraulic Muscles equivalent for DEX, INT and PER.
Able to hold your breath for X Amount of Time…
If you hold your breath for too long you’ll collapse to the ground and fall unconscious. (Possibly Die with a small Percentage)
The “+” layering thing should show environmental protection for clothing.

Jars of formaldehyde to store corpses in.
Food irradiation has been considered and rejected as requiring more energy than available to a survivor. Corpse jar, well, not sure why but wev.
What about those fancy gigantic solar panel storage battery grids i keep seeing? The minireactors? The Car engines used as dynamos?
By the look of things, the equipment isn’t big either, as as early as 1968 was it already vehicle mounted.
A way to safely deconstruct a door frame, and fireplaces, and all those constructions that seem to be more or less non-refundable even though they do not appear to be made out of glue…
What if we were willing to skimp on the precautionary measures? I, for one, would be perfectly happy to have my position be easily discernible via an ionisation detector if it meant enjoying a limitless supply of self-illuminating produce…

All the baseball bat crafting recipes (Nail bat, barbed wire bat) but for aluminum bats.
All the baseball bat crafting recipes (Nail bat, barbed wire bat) but for aluminum bats.
i have a feeling that nail bat wouldn’t work spectacularly well, but maybe i’m wrong.
A small water tank that you can put on a bicycle. uses a tiny/small metal tank.
A small portable water filter that uses a rag, 1 or 2 charcoal, a plastic bottle and has 20 charges. once it’s been used up, it must be dissasembled. you get your bottle and rag back. You would use this item to purify water wherever you are without batteries and water purifier or a fire and a pot.
If you leave a glass jar full of water out in the sun for a couple days, the water becomes purified through the UV method.
some kind of craftable archery target requiring 4 two-by-fours or heavy sticks, a long rope and either a marker of some kind or a spray paint. It would have a finite amount of health and can only take so many hits before it’s totally destroyed. 2000 hits from darts/pebbles, 500 hits from arrows/bolts, etc. it would require the construction skill to make.
Incendiary/acid/explosive/smoke bombs sealed inside glass vials/spheres. you would make these when other resources are scarce.
Spray can bomb. requires a lighter, a spray can… maybe other materials.
that’s all for now
Ikea-esque furniture boxes in furniture/gardening supply stores. Disassemble into all the components for specific constructions.
A less simple idea would be to have an option similar to deconstruction for certain bits of furniture that would convert the furniture into a movable item. That way instead of disassembling a chair and rebuilding it elsewhere you could just pick it up and move it.

Someone PRs the flat-pack furniture, I’ll merge it.
Some way to gather and melt snow. I started a game with 90-day season and am dying of thirst in the spring even though I have two leather funnels set up outside the shelter. It’s pretty annoying.
Not “simple” but would be appreciated. (Needs snowy weather to generate snow fields on the ground, which then can be harvested for snowballs, etc and then melted, used as construction/crafting material, etc.)
Does “Snowing” not fill funnels like “Raining” does?
Uh, no, nor should it IME. (I live in Pennsylvania, USA, not too far from New England, and frequently handle snow removal.) Snow would fill a funnel itself, in the “clog” sense, rather than flowing into the container.
Oh. I live in the south, no idea what snow does.
I would have thought that you could probably survive on a dozen or so funnels’ worth of snow a day…
Metal sheet + 5 copper wires + 20 batteries = heated funnel
You might find one at a meteorological station, found at radio stations, airports, schools (are there university campuses yet?), and military outposts.
When re(f)illing my car (pressing f when examining it), I usually do that to dump the gasoline I hosed from other vehicles into my tank (only source of fuel as gas stations have fuel only dumped on ground next to pump).
however i never keep count of how many vessels o had filled with gas. however i want them empty to fill with more gas. so i keep hitting (f) and, since I have batteries in my inventory, inevitably start charging ul the cars battery with them.
that is unintended, i want those batteries for welding not feed an already running car battery. also while i need lemons and copper to make batteries i cant get them back once fed to vehicle.
hence can there be a prompt when switching from re(f)uellinh car to recharging it. (“Batteries in your inventory will be used up,do you really want to recharge cars battery?”)
also i would like to be able to burn cob webd with a lighter. ever seen what happens to spider den irl if you do that?
