And if you do, do remember to add one-in-a-million chance to find Narnia.
Or angry psycho dwarf wielding cleaver.
Since fantasy is no-go boogeyman is not an option, alas.
Boogeyman would be a hilarious addition to the Unearthed faction maybe. o3o
Is it possible in real life to extract concentrated acid from vehicle batteries? If yes, then why can’t we do that in game?
We can do it ingame by dissasembling the battery.
Craft improvised armor with cardboard boxes. Cardboard helmet, gaunlets, and leg guards like in the film Murder Party.
Spray-paint it light blue and you now have (fake) diamond armor, if it’s boxy enough.
Sleeping with dead bodies around puts your character in a bad mood, unless there’s a necrophilia trait.
But how am I to lounge on a throne of skulls if we do that?
Ridiculous idea: a Báthory trait where you regen health when sleeping with kid corpses…
Well that could be hilariously disturbing in short order.
Why can’t I move tree trunks around? I mean, with 15 strength, am i not strong enough?
Might wanna adjust stone axes requirements a bit.
As it is now it’s going to take quite some time to get the needed skills.
I can understand construction 1, but why does it need survival 3?!?
It usually is the thing that slows my forester down WAY too much.
Just checked, it needs Carpentry 1!!!
No wonder can’t craft one.

Strange, i’ve crafted stone axes before, iirc the requirements were survival 3 and construction 1. Getting survival 3 might be painful, but if living in the wilderness, it will get to 3 on its own before i’d need to build a charcoal kiln, in my experience. Getting construction to 1 is possible with digging half-pits with a digging stick.
True, but I find it bit hard to understand stone axe beign that much harder to craft than hammer.
Your still tieing a rock to a stick after all.
Need to start with zero skills and see how the flow of the crafting goes, it might be as you said, that by the time you need one you have the skills for it.

I can’t say for sure, since i only did so when the skill changes weren’t in effect. After the changes survival trains slower, but i only start really bad day challenge games these days (surviving that one is a bit tricky, but, with some luck and a couple of tricks, it’s totally doable and let’s me with way better stats after a couple of days, when i’m done with the amphetamine withdrawal) and i usually train survival by butchering corpses or reading books.
I think it’s also trainable with crafting, if you happen to have some rags and plants to extract seeds from.
You mean like:

The hard part is knapping the head so that it’s sharp. A hammer doesn’t have to be sharp to work.
Speaking of derpy makeshift tools, it’d be nice if we had a way to make a similarly low-quality hammer using a chunk or lump of steel instead of a rock. Every so often I find myself in one of those weird adventurers were metal is abundant and stone isn’t. o3o
EDIT: Also, if we could add rubber as a material, then we could have a latex allergy trait. Simplest way to code that would be to do the same thing as with wool allergy. More complex would be penalizing the player for handling other items made of rubber, like siphoning fuel. That wouldn’t be a SIMPLE addition though.
If you have to have the rubber hose in your inventory in order to siphon things, a feasible simplification could be to alter the wool allergy code to check inventory for items with the latex tag, rather than checking items on equip for wool tag. I can’t think of anything besides rubber medical gloves that would be latex, though. Things like raincoats and dish washing/chemical handling gloves are typically made of vinyl. Or petroleum derivatives.
