Making spells require certain items but not consuming them?

Spells can now require components. Which is awesome and opens up new horizons for spells, but it’s a little limited in functionality when it comes to whether the component is consumed by the spell or merely requires the item to be closeby like how when you use a hammer to build something you don’t consume the hammer you just need it to be on you or closeby.

It would be great if, for example, certain spells required a lit candle or several to be nearby to work like summoning circles in many settings. Candles are required yes but they’re not consumed in the process because they’re like a tool basically. Or in the case of a spell requiring its caster to have a wand or staff, the spell could be made to require the wand or staff as a component but wouldn’t consume it.
