I have played this game quite a bit before but I remember the last time I tried getting back into it, I lacked an objective of some kind to achieve and being uncreative as I am I couldn’t come up with anything. Could you please suggest goals and/or challenges to put myself through? Also feel free to give some advice as well. I’m open to anything you will throw at me.
Survive until autumn.

I guess the first thing I will do is make it to autumn and work from there. Thanks for the suggestions. Also what mod are you referring to?

Cataclysm is about role-playing, breaking the hell out of your character, and/or exploring. I go more for the exploring, and not surprisingly, the last few times I died were to lab turrets, when I make two or three mistakes in a row.
