I died dropping items, never again

I was dropping probably a hundred items, maybe close to two hundred, on the tile in front of me. During that action-point span, a large powerful creature took my chest from full health to 0. My experience was the game freezing after the drop command, and it unfreezing to “game over”. I really should have been interrupted with a “You were hurt” notification the second I got hit, if not a “monster is dangerously close” message before that.

This was 0.A, has this been fixed in recent versions?

No, it hasn’t been fixed yet, but Kevin is working on making drop interruptable ATM in git.

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, this is not as simple as you think it is. I’m working on it right now, and I’ve sunk about 12 HOURS into adressing it in the past week, and I’m only about half done. With any luck I’ll have it all working some time this weekend.
