How to make a road tile diggable?

i need to clear some road to finish my palisade. can it be made diggable or are we not supposed to fortify our evac shelters?

I believe that you’re stuck with the road being in the way… Can you use a jackhammer or a pickaxe to maybe break up the road? Assuming you have one, of course. If necessary, you could wish for one then throw it into the woodeses where you’ll never find it.

A jackhammer will get rid of the road tile.

I don’t know if the pickaxe will do the work, but if not, I’d suggest that it was given this ability. (I want to build a ditch across the entrance to my public works base.)
